Bill Fries, the ad exec who become C. W McCall, was born on November 15, 1928 in Audubon Iowa! Del's mother was born on July 5, 1928 in the same small Iowa town - you KNOW they knew each other. He set the world on fire in the early 1970s with the "Old Home Bread" commercials - and that evolved into songs like "Old Home Fill'er Up" and "Convoy"! If you are from Western Iowa you know where he's talking about!!
