Happy October — which also means it’s Etch’s birthday month!! 🥳🎉It’s hard to believe we started this thing 9 years ago! 😅

As I was looking back through these pictures, the beginning feels like a lifetime ago. Kelsey and I were both young moms trying to just get through the day. I’m still not sure how we managed to start a business and take care of our families, but I know God filled in the gaps for us!

Every year of Etch had its own victories and challenges, but two two things that haven’t changed are this — there is no one else I would rather do this with AND God is still in control of it and it’s all His. 🙌

The only reason we’ve made it 9 years is because God provided and made a way. I still have people in the shop ask about how the Covid years were for us and my response is…they were some of our best! 🙏

Etch does look a lot different than when we first started. We used to design every single product in our shop. Now we are so thankful for other like-minded companies who we can partner with to curate a thoughtful gift shop. And we still love helping our customers pick out the perfect gift for someone. 🥰

Happy Birthday to my ride or die! She’s been in my fox hole for the last 10+ years and never leaves. What a gift! I’m forever grateful for all things Carrie and would be lost without her in all ways. She’s consistent, loyal, patient, gentle-loving, the most impressive listener and is always up for an adventure! I’m so thankful God made her and saw fit that we would be friends and partners in crime in all things business. Celebrate her with me today! She’s simply the best.

Whew — I’m back!

This past week has been a little wild with several band concerts, family in from out of town, baccalaureate, planning and prepping for a grad party, hosting a grad party, and attending graduation. I’m exhausted to say the least!!! But, it was oh so fun, my cup is full and my girl was celebrated so well!!

I just needed to give this girl a shoutout before I let the moment pass by. Kelsey is the real deal and you all need to know about it. This past week I was MIA a lot around here, but she gave me permission to be present with my family and enjoy this season of life. She filled in the gaps where I wasn’t able to do the work and held the fort down, all to give me space. Not only that, but she showed up for me too. She loaded tables in her car and dropped them off at my house, handlettered signs for my yard and the food tables, helped prep the food for the party, and THEN worked so hard during the party so that I could just enjoy it and hang out with our guests.

What.A.Friend.

I am so lucky to have her as my bff and I wouldn’t want to be in business with anyone else. She’s the best. 💕

I promise to be more present on here in the days to come. Not because you need more posts in your feed, but because we all need continuous encouragement from truth and that’s the why behind everything we do around here. 🙌 Who doesn’t want more of that?!? 😉

Kelsey and I are still processing all that God did last weekend in Ft. Worth at the IF Gathering. This year was the 10th anniversary and we have been a part of it in some way every year. The teaching and the worship have molded and shaped us. We look back and remember what God was doing in our lives and in our business. It’s so special to us.

This year the conference was amazing yet again. But, in true God fashion, He used all the moments — even the in-between moments — to teach us.

🤍We met up with Toni Collier and her assistant, Amanda. We partnered together to bring you the Stay Brave Collection in our shop. They are fantastic humans and living out what it looks like to be brave through trusting God in really hard things. We feel so blessed to know them. Give Toni a follow — she’s hilarious and real and loves Jesus with everything!
🤍We ate amazing Mexican food including THE BEST chimichangas we’ve ever had. Seriously, we ate 2 meals at this restaurant just to have these chimis again. And, did I mention waiting 1.5 hours for a table?! It was that good!
🤍We underestimate the value of the two of us getting out of town — away from the tasks and to-dos — to see clearly, hear the Lord’s voice, and ideate about new ideas and the future for Etch. Friends, He is showing us some really fun things and we can’t wait to tell you all about it!!! Even a few new collections that are coming next month! 🙌

Thanks for going on this ride with us. Thanks for doing the hard work of following Jesus when it’s not popular and it’s hard. We’ll all just encourage each other along the way and keep truth close. 🙏
