Reformation Day commemorates the beginning of the Protestant Reformation, a social movement that led to the division of Western Christianity between the Catholic Church and the Protestant denominations. The day is celebrated on October 31, the anniversary of the day in 1517 when Martin Luther, a German monk, posted his Ninety-five Theses on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany

Hospitality, a core value at North Star. Students in first through fifth grade join together Tuesday mornings for memory work. The older students love serving and helping the younger students grow in their understanding and knowledge. Recently, the 7th and 8th grade students have partnered with the kindergarten class for "Reading Buddies" weekly. They capitalized on the beautiful weather and read scattered around the playground.

Today, Tuesday, October 29th 2024 marks a historical day for North Star athletics as we launched our first ever basketball program. We joined together with St. John School to form two girls' teams and two boys' teams ranging from 4th to 8th grade. What an exciting time as we look ahead to the basketball season.

Our Cross Country team completed their second season a couple weeks ago. The team pushed themselves to improve and gain new PR's throughout the season. Our upper school runners shaved off almost 2 minutes from the first race to their last. Charlie Hiett, 10th grade, crossed the finish line first at our last meet. A milestone for him personally and our team. Let's go Navigators!
Chemistry is the study of matter, analyzing its structure, properties and behavior to see what happens when they change in chemical reactions. Our Rhetoric school students have been exploring how different chemicals react and change during their Chemistry lab.
