🩷 Thank You to all of our community partners for your help with Beauty by Jill's Summer Beauty Boot Camp 2024 🩷 The girls learned about self-love, the art of journaling, etiquette, proper hygiene for hair, skin & nails, positive healthy relationships and all things beauty! This year the girls ranged from ages 12-16 and represented six area school districts. We started the camp off with stretching, breathing techniques and guided meditation with Paula Johnson. Next they learned about skincare and Aidyn Dye (Beauty by Jill) taught them an everyday makeup routine. 💄 Sally Windle (Art Space of Lima) discussed art journaling-focused on self expression and art therapy. 🎨 The girls also learned how to do an at-home manicure & pedicure, and had the opportunity to learn about several hair products and tools. Special thanks to Hope White (Beauty by Jill) for the extra product knowledge! Our local guest speakers joined us throughout the camp to discuss topics such as Social Media Safety and Human Trafficking (Lima Police Department-Ptl. Buell), Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention (Crime Victim Services-Carla & Erica), Affirmations and Positive Choices ( Pennington). The girls enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Lima's Finest Food Co. 🍪 Each girl left with a Camp t-shirt, a Beauty Bag full of resources, beauty tools and products to help them establish healthy routines at home and new friendships! We look forward to continuing to grow the program in future! 🩷
