KAM Fueled Racing
KAM Fueled Racing is a car racing team built on family values, being competitive, and having fun!
Hope everyone is doing well. We are in the offseason now and with that comes a lot of planning for the 2025 season. With how tough the economy is, we know that sponsorship is tough to come by. Instead, Alex Bartorillo and the #261/ #291 teams have started a scrap metal business to cover racing costs. Many of you know how expensive it is to race. The #291 did not see the track this past year as the #261 Team was getting built up. There are not many teams that field both a Sportsman and a Modified car. We love racing.
Below is the link to KAM Scrap Metal Company. If you have any scrap metal you want to have removed, please reach out to Alex Bartorillo and the #261 Team.

He probably thinks he pulled off a victory by keeping today quite. What he doesn't remember is a member of the KAM Fueled Racing Team is like rain man. Happy birthday to the Main man and walking ATM machine behind the KAM Fueled Racing Family owned #291 modified and #261 sportsman teams. Always keeping our team sparkling and relevant. 2024 is over. 2025 is on the table and is in the planning stages. So if you see him today or even if you don't.....embarrass him by wishing him a very happy and healthy day!!
All ready and set for Grandview Speedway 38er tonight. KAM Fueled Racing #261 with King Ryan Lilick tonight at the controls with crew chief Alex Bartorillo and Mikey Saboe turning the wrenches. Us old folks will be in the stands watching tonight. Have fun kids!
Now that the regular season at Grandview Speedway is over and champions have been crowned for 2024, it is time to turn our focus on this coming weekend with the annual running of the Freedom 38er for the Sportsman and the 76er for the modifieds. Weather is iffy at best right now for Friday., but it seems to be improving. KAM Fueled Racing will be in the field for the Friday night race with the Bartorillo #261 with a bit of an unconvential twist. Our owner and driver of the KAM #261, Alex Bartorillo will be at the track and in the pits heading up the pit crew and will be handing the keys over to our guest driver Ryan Lilick. Ryan has been on a 3 years hiatis from the drivers seat. He has years and lots of expierence under his belt as the driver and owner of his own sportsman #142 along with a few seasons of modified competition strapped into the Dennis and Debbie Becker #49 and claiming some victories in both divisions. Ryan has been a big help this year assisting Alex with maintanance and set up for the #261. We see this as an opportunity to put a seasoned veteran behind the wheel to make some valuable suggestions and changes and get a feel for the car that will take Alex and KAM Fueled Racing into the 2025 season. It is a win/win situation. From our perspective a more and better prepared car. For Ryan, let him have a little fun ( maybe even give him the itch to make a come back ). Now that would be awesome!!
A little bit of irony here. The 2017 version of the 38er found the Ryan Beltz/KAM Fueled Racing #221 take the checker ahead of a fast closing Lilick #142. Maybe the 2024 version we can turn the tables and have Ryan fly under the checker in the KAM #261. That too would be awesome!!
The weekend will be here shortly. So much fun and excitement ahead. Good luck to all competitors and teams on both nights. Above all, be safe and drive smart. And remember and give thanks and appreciation that our racing families have a great track in Grandview Speedway that we are able to still congregate every Saturday night.....Donny

Packed 13 years ( ages 5 to 18) into a short sideshow. Time is fleeting. It all started at age 5 when a Grandview late model driver that goes by the name "Geezer" Fanelli kidnapped a little sq**rt named Alex and put him in the seat of the #22 late model. Alex was hooked. Thirteen years later, Alex realized one of his dreams, and on Saturday night, August 10th 2024, Alex entered his name on the Grandview Speedway winner list as he took the checkered flag in his KAM Fueled Racing #261 sportsman. In 13 years Alex has been more than a fan of racing. He has been involved in some capacity with several race teams and built many friendships and learned alot. Starting off with Geezer in 2015, Alex collected his first paycheck for Team Geezer and the #22 crew. In 2017, Alex joined forces with Andy Cassel in the KAM Fueled #28 late model and Ryan Beltz sportsman entry #221. Some success in 2017 as Ryan picked up the Freedom 38er and followed that victory up with a win the following night as Ryan was victorious taking the Minuteman 20. The next few years our focus was on late models with Danny Snyder doing the driving duties. Great success with some feature wins along with a 2018 late model championship. Along comes the 2021 season and Alex and KAM switched gears again and put together a modified effort with Kyle Merkel our chosen driver. Some good outings at Diamond and Grandview for the team. Kyle decided to vacate the seat and John Willman filled that seat for 2022 to present. But the 2023 season was even more exciting as Alex was putting together his own sportsman with the needed help and guidance of John. Racing strictly at Diamond in the rookie division, Alex would do well and learned alot and also picked off a victory. 2024 found Alex Starting at Diamond and midway through the season changed to Grandview, a goal that Alex wanted to realize. It's been a wild ride. The ride and adventure continues this Saturday at Grandview...pending the weather gods. However the following week a new and exciting adventure begins as we move Alex into his dorm at West Chester to start his college experience. Hitting the books!! And lastly, we did not get here by ourselves. There are so many drivers, teams, crew, fans, track crews and owners, photographers, media and of course...family. Out of courtesy, I will not name individuals because there are so many to thank for the help, encouragement, education and learning and endless support. I would sure as hell miss someone and that is not my intention. Please give yourself a pat on the back from KAM Fueled Racing. We appreciate it and you deserve it. A big congratulations to Ryan Watt and Watt Racing for winning such a big race. After such a big win, Ryan made a special visit to personally congratulate Alex. It shows you what a nice person Ryan is and how humble he is. He even told Alex to reach out for anything.
A great act of kindness. To enjoy the moment we were able to get a great shot of the winners and "The Border Czar of Racing at Grandview", Mertzy,!. The guy is all over the place patrolling. Thanks for everything you do!

GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY PRESENTS 54th ANNUAL FORREST ROGERS MEMORIAL RACE THIS SATURDAY NIGHT
50 LAP MODIFIED CHAMPIONSHIP PAYS $10,000 TO WIN PRESTIGIOUS EVENT
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The Forrest Rogers Memorial, paying tribute to the founder of Grandview Speedway, is the next action packed race program on the schedule on Saturday night at the one-third-of-a-mile high banked speedway.
Since 1971, Grandview Speedway management has been paying tribute to Forrest Rogers, the man who had the dream of building his own racetrack, then made the dream come true when he opened the track and hosted his first ever race event in August of 1963.
The Forrest Rogers Memorial race also serves as the anniversary celebration each year for the Speedway, as Forrest Rogers himself held the first ever extra distance race in track history in August of 1964, a 40-lap event won by Marty Acker, celebrating the track’s first birthday.
After the untimely death of Forrest, son Bruce took control of the speedway and in 1971 created the Memorial race to honor his Father on the same weekend his Father honored the Speedway’s anniversary, thus holding the first ever Forrest Rogers Memorial.
This Saturday, August 10, will feature the much anticipated 54th annual Forrest Rogers Memorial for the T.P. Trailer Modifieds who will be racing for 50-laps and $10,000 to win. This race program will also include the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman in another NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series double-header starting at 7:30 pm.
Adult grandstand admission is $30, students 10-15 with ID are $15, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge.
Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.
Pit gates will open at 4 pm. with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm. warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm. and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.
This Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the Low Down and Dirty meet and greet hosted by Whippy and Jennifer Umbenhauer. The drivers scheduled to participate will include the Hirthler family of drivers with Kevin, Brian, and Jesse Hirthler on hand with their cars prior to the start of the race program.
The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area from 5-6 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers before the night’s program gets underway.
Saturday’s program will be the final in a series of race events recorded and produced by ATVN-TV. The Astound TV Network (ATVN) will be recording the race events on Saturday, with the race event broadcast to be shown on a tape-delayed basis.
The heat races will be a complete program shown on the following Tuesday night at 7:30 pm. The features will air the following Friday evening at 7 pm. with further replays to follow.
Looking back at past winners for the Forrest Rogers Memorial who are currently active, last year’s winner Craig Von Dohren is the driver who has more wins than any other driver in the prestigious event, having won the Forrest Rogers Memorial ten times (1986, 2001, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2021, 2023).
Ray Swinehart has four Forrest Rogers Memorial wins (1988, 1996, 2005 2018), Duane Howard scored three wins (2010, 2013, 2019), Jeff Strunk won twice (1990, 2000), while defending track champion Brett Kressley won two events (2020, 2022).
Drivers with a single Forrest Rogers Memorial win who are currently in action include Jon Kellner (2004) and Kevin Hirthler (2012).
The amazing fact heading into this year’s 50-lap championship feature, is that of those drivers listed, only Brett Kressley has been to victory lane so far this season, so the others will be looking to break into the winner’s circle for the first time this year, and what better time to do it than in this high profile and high paying race program.
T.P. Trailer Modified feature winners so far this year have been Brett Kressley (5), Louden Reimert (3), Mike Mahaney, John Willman, Bobby Trapper Jr., Nate Brinker, and Cody Manmiller. Eric Kormann and Doug Manmiller have also recorded wins during Thunder on the Hill series action.
These drivers will be in action this Saturday looking for the win along with about three dozen drivers who all will be hoping to put their name on the list of winners in the Forrest Rogers Memorial.
The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will also be in action with a full program, and it has been a super competitive year with eleven different drivers reaching the winner’s circle so far.
The division is led by point leader Logan Watt and Gavyn Krupp who have two wins each, followed by drivers with one win each including Kenny Bock, Brian Hirthler, Mark Kemmerer, Jesse Landis, Addison Meitzler, Colton Perry, Zach Steffey, Jared LaBagh, and the most recent winner Dylan Swinehart.
All of these drivers will be in action along with over three dozen total drivers on Saturday night looking to see if they can score another win or join the list of 2024 feature winners at Grandview Speedway.
Since the 1960’s, Grandview Speedway has been presenting exciting wheel to wheel NASCAR stock car racing every Saturday Night starting in April and running through October, plus special events. Grandview Speedway is located at 43 Passmore Road, Bechtelsville, Pa. 19505, just off Route 100, ten miles north of Pottstown, Pa.
Information is always available at www.grandviewspeedway.com or on Facebook, or by telephone at 610.754.7688.

Sorry. A bit late on Saturday recap. I had something prepared, but pretty much discarded it. But here goes. The KAM Fueled Racing sportsman #261, Alex, Mikey, Ryan Lilick and dad made it to Grandview. Prepared the 261 for the second heat starting from the pole. Not a good start and fell back quickly and out of a qualifying position. Car too loose and babied the car until the end of the heat. Some adjustments made and ready for the first consolation. Lined up 8th. Taking only 3 left Alex with his work cut out for him. Was not our night as we finished basically where we started. Back to the drawing board for next week. I'm sure last night's performance is on Alex's mind. I'm also sure some lessons were learned and gained some experience that will be applied for our next race. On a separate note it was a little disheartening to see some big boo boos last night from some drivers with their over aggressiveness. I'm a big proponent of " on the job " training. Showing up at the track with your helmet bag, putting on your racing suit and hanging out at your trailer or walking the red carpet in front of the stands while you crew is in the dirt getting your car ready just doesn't cut it for me. I'm sure I'll get some s**t for saying that, however I think the experience of working on the car along with your crew would make you appreciate how much time, effort and cash it takes to do a race night. Even more gratifying if you're patching up a busted up race car. Or better yet, maybe respect your fellow competitors and not intentionally slam your way into a qualifying position. We have a bunch of sportsman rookies this year that have adapted very well and have had some good runs. Just to name a few...39 Laubach, 611 Grim, 39 Shelton, 312 Graber, 35 Bollinger, 12 Szencits, 7s Slaughter, 917 Miller, 5k Krupp and of course Alex 261. Show them some respect. They are out there for the same reasons. To have some fun and friendly competition. Donny
Well, it was questionable if we would make it to Grandview Speedway tonight. Brake issues. No fun racing if you have no brakes! To the rescue...Tom Solderich. Dropped whatever he was doing and made the trip to the family garage. Needless to say, we are here and we have brakes! Thank you Tom. Looking forward to a great night of racing on the hill. More thanks to our Pit crew tonight....Ryan Lilick, Mikey and Alex. Team KAM #261. Donny
You always hear "It takes a village ". No truer words have ever been spoken. Especially this week. Our village is small, but we have the same outcome as any other village, big or small. It just takes smaller villages longer to achieve their goal. Our goal at KAM Fueled Racing this week was to get the Alex Bartorillo #261 sportsman race ready for Saturday night action at Grandview speedway. Our village completed their goal sooner than expected and will see a weekend of racing starting tonight at Big Diamond Speedway and tomorrow hitting our home track Grandview Speedway. Our KAM Fueled Racing Family would like to thank Ryan Lilick, who spent about 7 hours of his Wednesday night in the family garage with Alex. And thank you to Tim Buckwalter and John Willman and to Tom Solderich, who took time today to finish up the #261 and get back on the track tonight. Last Saturday night Alex made a mistake. Did a number on his front end of his machine. Logged long hours this week in the family garage fixing his mistake. Getting help, listening, watching, helping and learning from the experienced racing teams listed above, plus added help and advice when at the track sorta makes the "mistake " worthwhile. I can't stress enough how appreciative our KAM Team is for the help and knowledge that has been sent our way by our racing families. On the track.....competitors. Off the track.....family. Donny
Sunday morning recap from a Saturday night of racing on The Hill. So much racing packed into one night. Alex lined up on the front row in the 4th heat. The first few laps kept him in second place following the Bailey 10. Snugging the inside lane trying to make up some ground unfortunately did not work. Keeping it a little to low around turn 3 and clipping the uke tire with the front end finished our night. A broken front end was the result. Once towed back to our pit stall, the hard work begins to get the car race ready for our last chance consolation. Despite the efforts of our small crew, Mikey and dad Steve, and driver Alex, along with welcomed help from Team James 13, Tom Solderich and Timmy Buckwalter, we just missed the last call for the consi by a bolt. Time to put this event on the shelf and look forward to next week. Was not the best of nights, but you will have nights like this. Once again, a big thank you to Tyler James and his crew, Tom Solderich and Tim Buckwalter for coming to our rescue. We appreciate the help and guidance. Our racing family just keeps getting bigger and better every week. Till next week........Donny
Racing has always been a big deal in our family. Always looking forward to the next time we would be at the track right after another night was just finishing up. Added bonus is when family gets really involved and starts to field cars to put on the track. Grand bonus is when one of your family lives out one of his dreams and straps himself into the seat. After a great, positive and productive Saturday night for Alex and his KAM Fueled Racing Family #261, we are excited to see what this Saturday holds for our team. Seven days between race meets seems like a long time. But the reality of it is.....really not. Once you mix in a high school graduation party with friends and family (of course the celebration would not be complete without a windy, strong downpour. Didn't matter, pic attached), a much needed trip to the beach for the kids, pool parties, sports of all kinds, poker nights, being with family, work and preparing for his freshman year at West Chester. The reason I mention this is with so many interests, goals and ambitions there is time that Alex needs to be put aside to maintain a race car. The importance of maintenance and prep is a must or the car may not see the track that week. Alex knows that. The car is ready for Saturday. And not to say this is for everyone. We are all different and diverse. I like the fact that Alex doesn't put all his eggs in one basket. Racing is fun and exciting. Gives you goosebumps. But having other interests and commitments make you well rounded. This approach seems to work for Alex. Lastly, KAM Fueled Racing #261, Alex Bartorillo and team have been fortunate enough to have several teams and drivers offer advice, mentoring and guidance. I may miss a few and it is not intentional. Thank you for the help Team Joly 924, Toth 44, Solderich 28, Grim 17, Buckwalter 942, Willman 74w, James 13, Howard 15g and Tramontana 13t for selling us a superior engine. Has not let us down! Ryan Lilick and pit crew Mikey. Only a few more days to go. It appears to be a beautiful day and night. Let's have some fun and Racing Family comradery. Donny
What a wonderful night for KAM Fueled Racing Team #261 and driver Alex Bartorillo. It may not impress everyone or some may not have even noticed, but after a few short weeks Alex has adapted well and continues to learn and improve each week. And he is one of the fortunate drivers that can now claim that he started on the pole and lead the first few laps of one of the most showcased sportsman races at Grandview Speedway. Alex completed all 40 laps and was credited with a 16th place finish. Forty four cars were on hand to attempt to qualify for the 26 car starting field. Five cars were added to the field with a provisional start making a 31 car Firecracker 40. Congratulations to winner Jesse Landis and the 973 Team. Hard fought and well deserved victory. Some well deserved outings for the 59k, 38 special, 712 and the 117 completing the top 5 finishers. Unfortunately some of our competitors went home with broken and bent equipment, but the good news is ours boys are intact and feeling fine alabiet maybe a little sore from some hard hits. But they are tough. They are probably in the garage at this moment tearing their cars apart and getting ready to hit the dirt next week. Donny
