EXCITING NEWS! I have been working hard on this and it's now ready to share with you! I am now selling extra DAHLIA TUBERS on a website! Happy Shopping! Link in Bio. https://berts-blooms.square.site/
Happy Valentine's Day! Spread the love today...and everyday! 💕
P.S. The lisianthus seedlings are looking swell! 😍
My head is spinning after all the planning that was done today! I start planning now, so the year can go smoothly...hopefully. 🤪 When the busy part of the year comes, I can check my plans and follow through. All the extra brain power was already used in the slower months. It's going to be a beautiful year! Some staples and some new things to try! Are there any flowers you look forward to or can't live without?!
How it sll started 6 years ago. This tiny space pumped out tons on blooms! It's always good to look back and reflect.
Dreaming 2024 blooms already!🌼
2023 was a great year full of new opportunities. There were lots of successes and failures throughout the year to learn from as well.
I grew some beautiful crops of eryngium, lisianthus, gomphrena, and celosia.
I had good luck starting ranunculus corms and germinating delphinium seed. Just need to get the timing right.
I dug just shy of 400 dahlia tubers that have been split into around 1,600 tubers.
My proudest accomplishment is providing more blooms than I thought possible to Florists and Designers in the Lincoln/Omaha area. I was able to do it with help from the Rooted platform and the Flatland Floral Collective.
I'm looking forward to 2024! 💐
More blooms.
More laughter.
More gratitude.
What are you looking forward to in 2024?
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving! Thankful for all of you and your support!
It's been a busy weekend around here! I had my unpaid intern(my husband 🤣) help me get the greenhouse closed up and cleaned up for the winter. We cut the last of the flowers, cleaned up the old debris/weeds, and got the dahlias cut down and dug out of the ground. Now I've got some work to do to get the tubers into storage and the last of the cut flowers posted on for my florist customers later this week. Oh and did I mention....those tubers we dug from the greenhouse is only 1/4th of what I need to dig! 🤪
Happy Fall! This bouquet is going out to a special customer tomorrow! Have a great week, everyone!
Pocket full of sunshine! ☀️
Here is a bunch of Celosia, just because these beauties deserve to be shared! Thanks everyone for selling me out of these. Enjoy!
P.S. This is also a shout out to my husband. He told me these would be a hit! "I know what the people want."-Matt
I haven't been feeling very well the last couple of days... but at least it forces me to slow down and actually take pictures of the "trash flowers"!
I am terrible at slowing down and getting the pictures I want throughout the year. That being said, I had to take full advantage of my time this morning!
Does anyone need 10ft tall Amaranth? The heads on these things are masassive, probably 12 to 16 inches long! 🤣
The first lisianthus of the season are here! I'm disappointed I don't have more colors, but these are amazing! I'm glad I was able to go from seed to flower with success.
Happy Anniversary to my my right hand flower man! We spent the day outdoors exploring and enjoying nature. We were dripping in sweat, but we were together making more memories! I can't wait to spend at least another 13 years with ya!

I feel this statement to my core.
You're welcome for the inspiration heading into the weekend! 😘
Happy Easter Sunday! I hope everyone had a great day.
Happy Birthday to my Dad today! He is 55 years young! He is one of the people in my life who is always first in line to help me. This same guy calls my flowers "weeds," but then works his ass off to help me with my dreams and ideas.
P.S. I told him to pretend he likes my flowers a little bit right before I took this first picture! 😂
Happy Valentines Day, everyone! Thank you for all the love you have shown my business.
A special shoutout to my #1 employee who happens to also be my Valentine!
I'm getting some of my tubers out of storage. Potting up my dahlia tubers now will allow me to take cuttings and have more dahlia plants this year. I only do this with varieties that are popular, didn't store well, or only had a few tubers. They will produce flowers this year just like the tubers. For those of you who have not purchased tubers before...they can cost between $6-$15 per tuber. Newer varieties can cost $30! This saves me a lot of money!
PSA!!!
Check on your Dahlia tubers!
This may not be a beautiful picture, but I like showing the not so pretty things that need to be done. Checking them now will help me decide what tubers I need to take cuttings of to increase my stock.
I'm looking forward to growing these Sahara Rudbeckia again this year, but I'm trying in the greenhouse for longer stem length. I just love their unique colors!
Missing the greenhouse views tonight and hoping these beauties come up again on their own! 😍
Today was a good day...got the first round of Ranunculus started in all the colors of the rainbow!🌈 These will be planted in early spring under cover. 🌱
I took a month to rest and recharge, which included a trip to Jamaica! Ready to get back into planning, growing, and bringing you beauty!
I'm planning for another year full of Blooms! Is there a flower you are looking forward to in 2023?!
