"Give kids hope. Take the credit!" - Tax Credits Available Until October 31!

What if you had a say in how your state tax dollars help Nebraskans? You do - through the Opportunity Scholarships Act! Nebraska income taxpayers can claim a dollar-for-dollar tax credit for contributions made to Opportunity Scholarships of Nebraska (OSN) on their 2024 taxes. Those contributions will fund scholarships for underprivileged students wanting to attend private schools.

Students of St. Joseph's Catholic School - York, Nebraska were recognized for fourth quarter Sancti Imitatio-Imitating a Saint. The students that received this recognition are pictured with Pastor Fr. John Sullivan and Principal, Mary Jo Leininger.

The Charity and Stewardship Appeal is a yearly fundraiser by the Diocese of Lincoln. It started back in 1971 and has been helping out the diocese ever since, especially with Catholic Education.

Under Bishop Conley, the appeal is still going strong, backing up important things like Catholic Social Services, the Newman Center and Retreat House, Pro-Life efforts, and Youth Ministries.

Nebraska families can now express interest in applying for an opportunity scholarship through Opportunity Scholarships of Nebraska (OSN), a statewide scholarship granting organization.

OSN has launched its website where parents can fill out an eligibility survey and sign up to receive news and updates about the application process.
