Graduations, Baseball tournaments, Brats, Barbeques, Best Friends, and maybe even a beer or two. These are just a few of the things we have come to associate with Memorial Day. While we are enjoying these activities over this three day weekend, please take a moment to reflect on what this day and weekend truly represents. If it were not for the brave men and women that have fought for all of us since the inception of our Republic none of this would be possible. Let us not also forget the families of these hero’s that have also made sacrifice. When you think of the levity of the day, one day does not seem to be enough to say Thank You. When you see an active service person be sure to Thank them for their service, and let them know they have not been forgotten. For those that have given the ultimate sacrifice take a moment of Silence today, squint your eye through the sun and take a deep breath while you look at Old Glory waving in the wind and think to yourself of what the Stars and Stripes really represent. Those Stars and Stripes represent those brothers and sisters that Gave it All!

Remember today isn’t just the end of a three day weekend, but a weekend of remembrance. There have been many men and women that have not returned home and have laid down their lives so that we can enjoy the freedoms we at times take for granted. To all those that have served both domestically and abroad we thank you for your service. To those family members that never had the opportunity to met their service hero. To those that lost their loved one. To those that took their last breath protecting our country, the world, and the very fabric of our society. On this day take a moment to remember those that gave it all, that left it all out on there on the field of battle. Thank you for your service, and thank you being brave enough to stand up to those who would serve to tear down those things we all hold so sacredly. Be proud to be an American and be proud of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. On this day remember those whose last breath was for your FREEDOMS.
