Happy Monday everyone!!

Thank you all flexible and patient with my schedule the last few months. For those who don’t know, I have been helping cover clients and shifts at the salon in Milford while our coworker was out for surgery. She is doing amazing and will be back in Sept/Oct.

That being said, for the next two months I am working Friday mornings in Lincoln and Friday afternoons in Milford. Then after that I may need to switch and help with Thursdays instead of Fridays. Please know that I am trying to get everyone in but it may require a little flexibility on everyone’s part to ensure everyone gets to continue looking and feeling their best!!

As we begin closing out the first month of 2023, I wanted to post a couple updates to my policies and pricing.

Pricing increases will take effect beginning February 1, 2023. I will not be posting pricing because they are posted on my Vagaro page and are always subject to change depending on product usage and time.

I have always had a cancellation policy, however I have never really enforced it until now. The policy is as follows…

**24 hour cancellation notice is required. If you cancel less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment, a 50% fee will be required to be paid in order to reschedule. This policy includes no show/no call appointments also.**

So, this client of mine is one of my favorite transformations! She has struggled with extremely fine and thin hair for as long as I’ve know her. We have always used fusions on her and my preferred brand is Great Lengths(I loved my training with them) but this time I wanted to give my coworkers brand a try. We are in love!!! These fusions lay fuller even though they are the same size bond and just gave her a more blended feel instead of a traditional fusion look which tends to be more stringy. Hair Couture is becoming my new fav!! Through this company I offer custom weft and fusion extension services as well as clip-in sets and topper clip-ins!! Message me for details!

The last couple of years, as we all know, have been crazy to say the least…between shut downs, restrictions and the crazy rate of inflation. I did not raise my prices during this time due to the fact that everyone was hurting and trying to adjust to less pay, loss of jobs, increased grocery bills, etc.

My industry has been hard as well. Our supplies in some cases have had price increases of up to and beyond 30%!!! Therefore, unfortunately I am looking at a forced inflation increase as well. I will have prices adjusted on my www.Vagaro.com/stylesbyshaylainc website and you can always message me privately to ask about your specific service. My pricing has always been a guideline for clients to see what they can expect to pay. However, in many cases, the actual price may be less or more depending on exactly what is needed.

I am super excited to start offering a 20 minute “Anti-Aging” treatment to my service menu!! This treatment helps to reset your hair back to a more youthful feel and appearance. This treatment will be a 45 min appointment and is $55 (includes a shampoo and style).

I am also excited to offer a pH balancing, post color treatment as part of each hilite, creative color and vivids color appointment. This treatment is rolled into the price of these services and can be added to other color services for an additional $15. This service brings your hair back to its natural pH and seals in moisture and color. This treatment is especially recommended for anyone who sees excessive color fading between services!

It is absolutely insane during the month of May (well, to be honest, ALWAYS) with summer nearing, weddings starting up, dance recital coming and kids camps.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...if you message me, text, or call and leave a voicemail, don’t hesitate to message again if you haven’t heard from me within 48 hours!!! You WILL NOT be bothering or pestering me!! My brain is currently going 500 miles per minute and I can’t always remember everyone that I need to get in contact with on a daily basis!

Literally some days (like today) I had 8 people via text and pages that I was trying to book. Along with managing who is going to which salon, etc. Life is crazy but I love it!!!

We no longer have a limit on capacity or the requirement of 6’ distancing between guests!!!

That being said I want to clarify the rules for OUR salon servicing with the new mandate.

We care about all of you so much and want to make sure we are doing the most possible to keep you all healthy. Many of us will be double booking our clients like we used to back before Covid. We ARE still REQUIRING masks to be worn by everyone as we are a building “open to the public”...even if you have been vaccinated.

You no longer need to text or call when you arrive; you may come in and find a seat. We do have beverages (with straws) that can be enjoyed even with your mask on.

Oh how we can’t wait to see all your wonderful smiles again in person but for now we keep plugging away so that we can all be healthy and around to be able to see those smiles!!
