Breath prayers are accessible ways to reflect and connect with the presence of God. This prayer is inspired by Romans 8, which is itself a reminder that God continually pursues us in grace.
Thank you to our Climate Justice Team and volunteers who helped to make the world a little greener this weekend! Saint Paul UMC was awarded a grant by the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, which allowed us to purchase and plant 10 more trees in a local neighborhood.

We had another inspiring and educational session of Postcards from Lincoln on Monday night! UNL professor and author, Joseph Starita, discussed his book, A Warrior of the People: How Susan La Flesche Overcame Racial and Gender Inequality to Become America’s First Indian Doctor.

Join Rev. Jane Florence TONIGHT at 6 p.m. for The Spiritual Child, a class aimed at teaching parents, grandparents, teachers, and childcare workers about natural spirituality and the important role it plays in development and thriving.
On Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. Rev. Nancy Flader will lead us on an inspiring autumnal walk through Wilderness Park. What can nature teach us about rest, renewal, and sabbath?
The Climate Justice Team was able to purchase 10 more trees through a grant sponsored by the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum. We will gather to plant the trees on October 13 at 11:15 a.m.

Alongside initial emergency grants to the North Georgia, South Georgia, Holston (covers East Tennessee and Southwestern Virigina) and Western North Carolina annual conferences, UMCOR-trained Early Response Teams are distributing supplies and clearing debris across the region.
"The devastation from Helene is heartbreaking, but it is in times like these that the church is called to embody hope," said Roland Fernandes, general secretary of Global Ministries and UMCOR.

Join us TONIGHT at 7 p.m. for our first session of "Make Your Vote Count: The 2024 General Election". We welcome Dr. Tyler White to talk about the implications of the 2024 elections on our state, country and the world.

Join Dr. Morgan Palmer and Dr. William Dewey TONIGHT at 6 p.m. for Powerful Goddesses Across Cultures. This class will explore conceptions of the feminine divine from ancient Greek and Roman religion, ancient Mediterranean mystery religions, Buddhism, and Hinduism. We will consider the agency of goddesses, the impact of misogyny on portrayals of goddesses, the role of women in worshipping goddesses, and parallels between polytheistic deities and Christian conceptions of the feminine divine.
