Things to keep in mind when transitioning to your natural color:

Apparently today is Rainbow Bridge Day. We said goodbye to both of our boys just over 3 months ago. Not a day goes by when I don’t think about them and miss their companionship and unconditional love. I am grateful for the 15 years we had with them and know they are running turbo speed on the other side of the bridge. 💙💙🌈

Has a stylist ever asked you if the “density in your perimeter” looks good?

Let’s break this question down…
PERIMETER - That is the bottom line of your haircut
DENSITY - That is how thick your hair looks
What I’m asking is do you like the thickness of the bottom line of your cut?

Once the density is determined, then I know how much hair I have left to work with to create shape.

Before Head Shape Matters, I would cut into the perimeter density too often leaving the bottom of a cut looking weak and overly wispy. On thin hair, this makes hair appear thinner and on thick hair it generally means there is too much weight higher up creating a ledge.

There is not one haircut that fits all people, but there is one system that works for every haircut.

Since we uncovered Jayne's natural texture allowing her to use less heat and cutting her hair using Head Shape Matters cutting system her hair cuts last longer so her hair has been able to grow. The best way to remove weight is through layering the hair. Thick hair NEEDS layers. And a lot of them.

If you don’t want to take those layers too short, you will need a fair amount of length to accommodate those layers.

By using Head Shape Matters cutting system, I can tell you where your top layer will land based on the overall length of the cut or based on where you want the top layer how much length is needed.

You can't see them but there are hidden layers in this cut to help remove more weight and allow for more movement.

I thought I would take this moment to introduce myself.

My name is Annette and when I got into the beautiful industry of hair, I thought it would be clever to give my business the nickname Hairnette. I’m a dork and I’m okay with that. I don’t know any other way to be other than myself.

When I’m not behind the chair, I love to travel with my husband. We generally go to a warm sunny beach. I love being on the sand and he in the water. We love to taste local food whether we are at home or abroad.

There are many reasons I love being a hair stylist, but the top two are connecting with people and the comments of clients loving their hair because it is easier to do. I am privileged to be in an industry that allows me to engage with people in a meaningful way. And nothing is better than the text saying they love their hair. It warms my heart.

Since I am alone in my space, you have the option of listening to any kink of music that you like. A perk for me is that I learn about new music!

Most of my guests choose the cut only option so we do not wash and style after the cut. Amber was able to do a quick refresh after her cut and got these amazing results!
