FR. FRANK’S FAREWELL IS THIS SUNDAY, JUNE 23, 2024 at the 12:00 Noon Mass with a Reception following Mass in the School Auditorium Let’s join together as a parish community to give thanks to God for Fr. Frank’s presence and ministry among us over the past eight years, and let’s wish him well as he begins his ministry as Associate Pastor at St. Rose of Lima in Massapequa.

The world-famous International Pilgrim Virgin Statue, which has been traveling since 1947, will be at OLPH this Tuesday, June 18. Anointing of the Sick

Anyone facing significant illness or who will be undergoing surgery should be anointed, as should the elderly who are significantly weakened or compromised because of their age (although simply being elderly is not reason to be anointed if one is healthy).

As many of you already know Fr. Frank announced, the weekend of May 25th that he has been reassigned as Associate Pastor to St. Rose of Lima in Massapequa. It is bittersweet since we will definitely miss him yet we pray that this new journey will bring abundant blessings for Fr. Frank and the parish community he will be serving.

Let’s join together as a parish community to give thanks to God for Fr. Frank’s presence and ministry among us over the past 8 years, and let’s wish him well as he begins his new ministry.

Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is this Friday, June 7, gives us the opportunity to focus in a very powerful way on God’s love, which comes to us through Christ, and this is especially emphasized for us in the Mass prayers for this Solemnity. As is our custom, we will highlight this Solemnity as a special day by including music at the celebration of the 12:15 p.m. weekday Mass, so all who come to that Mass on Friday will have the opportunity to celebrate the Solemnity in an appropriately festive way.

On this Memorial Day, we pray for all members of the military, especially those who died in service to others. May we honor them by loving and caring for all those they have left behind. Give them strength and strengthen our commitment to caring for those who mourn their loss.
