In July, the Full Moon is the Buck Moon, named after the new antlers that emerge from a buck’s forehead around this time of the year. The full moon will peak on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 3:17am PT / 6:17am ET.

Also, tonight, Saturday, July 20th is the 55th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing, the first space mission to bring humans to the moon. It's reported that the first moon landing was in the afternoon on July 20, 1969, and the moonwalk took place that night, What a beautiful way to celebrate by going outside and looking at the full moon and toasting Neil (Armstrong), Buzz (Aldrin) and Michael Collins, and all the people who helped make Apollo 11 a reality 55 years ago.

Here's to the bridge-builders, the hand-holders, the light-bringers, those extraordinary souls wrapped in ordinary lives who quietly weave threads of humanity into an inhumane world. They are the unsung heroes in a world at war with itself. They are the whisperers of hope that peace is possible. Look for them in this present darkness. Light your candle with their flame. And then go. Build bridges. Hold hands. Bring light to a dark and desperate world. Be the hero you are looking for. Peace is possible. It begins with us.
