Our guy came to us in April looking to take his athleticism to the next level.

Within our first quarter of laying down the foundation we helped him increase his overall speed and vertical jump.

What stuck out to us the most was his single leg jump and approach jump. Almost averaging 1 inch gained for both for each month that passed.

Now as we continue to highlight the athletes we work with. The biggest thing we tell them, and parents as well. These results are lost probably quicker than they are gained.

It’s not about a 90 day turn around but a 3-4 year goal to unlock your fullest potential as an athlete.

We believe if you stay with us for that long we can not only have these results but it can be sustain for a longer period of time.

We are planning to help CJ reach another 3-4 inches within our second phase of training where it’s more strength focused and focusing on producing more power.

If you are a basketball player looking to improve your athleticism seek our Coach Sean for assistance

If you are looking to still work with us to be a better athlete within your sport. Send us a DM we will connect with you as quickly as possible.

We back our company off of a results driven approach that will translate to your sport. While also focusing on your overall well being as a person.

Our is our go to man for getting basketball players better on and off the court.

Here we are showing our 90 day improvement with and as you can see he has made great strides in improving his overall strength speed and quickness

The first quarter of training should always be about laying a foundation but at the same time we can still see improvements in the departments of
- first step explosion
- coordination and rhythm
- muscular endurance and work capacity
- better joint angles for sprinting stopping and changing of directions
- ability to manage high levels of load or shock from fall heights.

If you’re looking to see improvements like this in your first quarter of training and also long term for the next 3-4 years. Contact us now and we will be happy to get you started in your journey

We are dropping a guide to help shooters make more shots in the 4th. Our Hybrid Coach does a great job of breaking it down for you all

When it comes to making shots in the 4th quarter we can train for this in three ways

Building a better aerobic base that helps us train for a better anaerobic threshold

Taking that new base and threshold to training to make shots in fatigued states

Last increasing our core strength and our coordination of our body to allow us to move more efficiently

Those three factors above are true limiting factors in how a player can make more shots down the stretch.

Once they have increased that aerobic capacity it plays a huge role in how they recovery from anaerobic activities such as jumping cutting and sprinting

Training to do these exercises in longer duration with short rest periods increases their capacity to handle that fatigue

Now they have shown to handle that fatigue we will challenge it with the skill of using different shooting drills (catch and shoot, coming off screens, in transition shots) and purposely work with high volume

Once we get them there we want them to make 5-10 shots in that fatigued state of shooting before taking a break, putting up more shots and getting to that point again

Just like training till failure

- we can see an increase in motor pattern recruitment
- increased efficiency in the ability to handle metabolic breakdown
- increased muscular endurance

Last is core and coordination

As these two get stronger and are more refined the athlete can actually decrease energy expenditure as movement efficiency is increased

If you enjoyed this breakdown and would love a guide please type in 4THQTR below in the comment section and we will send you the guide to download

I’ve been doing work as a S and C/Performance Coach for 4+ years.

I didn’t get better as a S and C coach until I was exposed to more sports

When I trained athletes outside of basketball I was able to also pour more back into my sport.

Track and field helped me learn running mechanics and conditioning programming

Soccer showed me how to actually setup speed and agility drills that have better transferability based on situations

Baseball helped me train learning how to move laterally and convert it to running full speed.

All qualities that help your athletes in basketball.

Think top down approach when getting better for sports performance and expand your cup.

That way you can expand your value

A business is only as great as it’s founder.

Secondly it can only be as great as the parameters it is set within.

A business is with bad infrastructure and a bad leader is like a spear with a dull end and faulty pole.

We live in a time we people stress to be fearless, when in reality the ones who are… just have a higher threshold of fear than most.

The stress of a flat tire isn’t the same as getting evicted.

Which level of fear from those events yields a higher stress response?

Fearing you might pop your tire or fearing you might be on the street?

Feel your pulse right quick and ask those questions, I’m serious try it, and let me know what you feel?

Did you feel a spike in HR?

If so then you understand where I’m coming from.

When you have a higher threshold of stress, from experiences, you tend to be calm about things that don’t resemble those gruesome events.

Yet, you don’t need to be from South Jamaica, Queens in order to be this way. Simply ask yourself what level of stress is worth it?

The test you have to take or the job you can’t land after you get your degree?

Stress is useful, it activates our fight or flight response.

We have a heightened level of response and our body is in a mode to get the job done.

We can’t get it all done in one day but our goals can trick our body into thinking we have done that job.

Once we do we simply set a goal a bit higher outside of the stress level we were exposed to.

We keep doing that and ultimately we reach our goal and we increase our levels of stress.

Don’t Fear less in reality fear more so once you overcome it you can fear less.

This month marks one full year of our guy working out with us. Justin’s goals in one year was to be 10 lbs bigger and also squat 405.

Both of those were able to be accomplished around the month 9 marker.

Justin’s current goal is to add on more size then maintain as he goes back to adding more strength and power.

These results again took a year and not 3 months or 6 weeks.

Stop looking for trends and start investing with a company or coach that is dedicated to helping you grow for the rest of your life.

The me vs me rhetoric never made sense to me. How can I do two things.

Compete with the past

Have this mindset that it’s always about outdoing yesterday as if dips in life aren’t natural.

You have to build with yourself. It’s a relay race with 3 ppl, sounds odd as hell but it’s just true.

Pass the baton on from the past present and future… and build towards a successful life for you.

Was blessed and honored to be a coach for Alpha Sports Nike Sports Camp. The best part about coaching is helping the youth grow so we can have a better future down the road. Because without them leading the way, we lose the ability to have a chance of changing our world towards a better place.

At the end of camp as coaches we are supposed to give our campers our Evals on what they did well, and what they can improve on.

Took some extra time out to write out things that couldn’t fit the comment section on the front of the sheet.

Oldie but a goodie, when working on separation moves always start off with this principle.

Attack hard towards the basket.

Was working with on sidesteps after a defender cuts us off.

Knowing when to sidestep is more important than how to do it.

You can teach the move but does your player know when to use it?

A sidestep is best to use in these situations
- a defender is shading you one side and you step away from the side they are shading.

- you blow by your defender and sidestep to space before the defense can rotate quickly to plug the gap

- you have your defender on your hip, and as you get to your spot you sidestep away, creating contact, and shooting your jump shot in open space.

There are many ways to get this shot off however learning how to get it off in 3 dribbles or less allows you to learn how to
- be efficient
- cover ground with your dribbles
- be explosive
- make decisions quicker

We are dropping another episode to our second season tomorrow at 1 PM Eastern

Sean Davy and TJ Tibbs sat down and discussed these topics

- When did you start coaching?

- How your journey as a college athlete helped you, in terms of being relatable, to your players

- How knowing your player’s personality is important to coaching?

- 3v3 concepts, how does it help your players get better?

- Why a player developing trust with a coach early is crucial to the long term development and relationship between both parties?

06/01/2022

World on some dribble at concepts today.

This man traveled but hit his first three lol. Look at this reaction and you can read below on what we worked on today.

Going back door and taking the back door to come off the DHO.

This was our first day trying it out together and for kids with Some organized ball experience.

It’s better to put them in actions they can learn from, which they will see in a game, while they use those actions to work on their skills
- passing
- cutting
- shooting
- ball handling
