All of us here at LTA are deeply saddened to have learned of the tragic passing of one of our recent graduates, Tyler Keenan. He was truly a passionate soul who wanting nothing more than to work on tour as a network engineer.

With a lot of hard work and with the support of countless friends, educators, and mentors, he achieved his dream shortly after graduation in September. Tragically his life was taken on February 26 as the result of a hit and run in Los Angeles.

His family has asked us to share this website that was created in his memory by his step brother Bowie. We ask you to feel free to share your stories, memories, and images via the website to honor Tyler's memory.

In case you haven’t heard, the Rock Lititz Live Event Career Exploration Day for High School Students is being held on April 27th this year. Applications are now open for Lancaster County student ONLY right now, but students from across the area will be able to apply beginning on March 1st.

If you are looking to get into IT/Networking either as a new career or career advancement, the Lititz Technology Academy is accepting applications for the January CCNA course (Cisco Certified Networking Associate). There are two different course schedule options. Lot of great experiences and opportunities to be had here on the campus at Rock Lititz.

Internships Needed!

The Lititz Technology Academy is looking for IT/Networking internship placement opportunities for future students enrolling in our CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) program.
The program begins in January 2023 and will end very early April.

We are also open to "work study" options for folks in our January - July program (this is an expanded, more "self-paced" course option). Our students would love to learn about these opportunities as well.

We are excited to announce that the very first cohort EVER at LTA has successfully completed the CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) program! Our pilot has been an amazing and rewarding experience for the students, our instructors, and our partners.

The idea for the Academy was developed on the premise that re-building a workforce for the Rock Lititz Community companies would be no small feat. Tech skills are no longer “nice to have” but are a “must have” particularly in the live event space.

Lititz Technology Academy has set its sights on becoming the go to resource for current and future employees to level up their tech skills through certification programs using a bootcamp style format.

LTA could not have pulled this off without the contributions from and collaboration with our partners and stakeholders.

LTA Instructors (Dr. Ben Franske and Dr. Susan Scales) These folks are amazing and really are the reason this program is a success. Their expertise, teaching skills, and ability to connect with students cannot be understated.

Clair Global (Matt Clair, Ben Harris, and Ethan Quint) As our “anchor” partner, Clair Global has been instrumental in the success of this program thus far by providing equipment, event day experiences for students, scholarships, employment opportunities (pre/post graduate), marketing, and their advice.

Cisco/ Cisco Networking Academy (Rebecca Chisholm, Matt Swartz) The core educational curriculum and delivery system is provided through Cisco NetAcad. Additionally, through Rebecca’s help we were able to secure our Cisco Certified Lead Instructor and Matt helped with some marketing juice!

Rock Candy Coworking The space in Suite 25 was transformed into a classroom and IT/Networking lab where classes convened two evenings weekly for 10 weeks!

Yamaha - (Kevin Kimmel) Students were introduced to the world of audio mixing using various technologies including Dante. As part of our “Tech Talk Tuesday” programming, Kevin was gracious with his time and expertise!

Atrium Audio - (Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak) The experience included a tour of the studios and discussion into the recording technologies utilized by the Atrium team. From analog to digital, networked components, and everything in between, it was a great opportunity.

Rock Lititz - (Andrea Shirk, Suzi Meyer, Rachel Hales, and the entire team!) Without this amazing community and willingness of all those who are part of it to share their expertise, support, and endorse the educational opportunities like those we provide at LTA, this would not be possible. Education is a big part of the mission of Rock Lititz, one LTA is excited to support.

There are many others we should thank including Joel Radziewicz, Ron Bowman, Owen Blevins, Nathan Flood, Caleb Martin, Sam Martin, Paige Durburow, Matt Knouse, Russ Bley, Dennis Bellafiore, and of course our students!

We must thank Grant and Carson for hosting TTT this week. From analog to digital, consoles to monitors, isolation rooms to audio depth and “space”, we learned a TON tonight. It took two years for Atrium to design and build their studio but what a studio it is! 🤟
