Lititz Fire Company No. 1
The fire company currently has more than 30 active volunteer members.
The Lititz Fire Company Number 1 serves a first due area of approximately 12 square miles in Lititz Borough along with portions of Warwick Township and Penn Township.

After a few weeks equipment and tool mounting plus a few more weeks of trainings, check rides, and testing the new truck is ready to go. The 2024 E-ONE Typhoon HR100 is prepared to serve the community for many years to come.

One of the key parts to Fire Prevention Week is public education. Firefighters will continue doing a presentation on smoke alarms and fire safety along with showing the students the fire trucks all month long.
Happy Fire Prevention Week! We are teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to promote this yearโs FPW campaign, โSmoke alarms: Make them work for you!โ This yearโs campaign strives to educate everyone about the importance of having working smoke alarms in the home.
Around 3pm this afternoon, Lititz Fire responded to Crosswinds Drive for a reported camper fire. When firefighters arrived they found a medium sized camper on fire near a house. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire with no damage to the house.
The new Truck 25 is closer to going in service! You may start to see the truck in and around town as our drivers and firefighters are beginning their familiarization training.
Around 6pm last night Lititz Fire responded to Plateau Road for a reported outbuilding fire. When firefighters arrived they found a small shed on fire near a house. Crews were able to quickly put water on the fire to prevent it from spreading to the house. Once wrapped up from the fire, there was enough time to head over to EAS Towing for our weekly drill focused on vehicle stabilization. In all, the ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ responded to 3 calls and spent several hours at training on Monday.
Earlier this afternoon, Lititz Fire handled another vehicle accident with reported entrapment on East Main Street in the heart of downtown. Firefighters were able to arrive quickly and remove the front windshield to allow the driver to exit the vehicle. All patients were placed in the care of Warwick Community Ambulance and Rothsville Ambulance.
Just before noon, Lititz Fire and Warwick Community Ambulance responded to Furnace Hills Pike (Rt. 501) and Japonica Dr. for a vehicle accident with reported entrapment. Crews removed the driverโs door to allow the patient to exit to vehicle and was placed in the care of EMS.
The crew from Engine 25-1 assisted with overhaul at this shed fire earlier this evening.

Saturdayโs response to Lancaster Township was the final one for our 2005 American LaFrance ladder truck. Last night, Fire Line Equipment brought over our brand new 2024 E-One ladder truck to begin the process of mounting equipment and for our members to get a first look. Expect more exciting updates in the next few months!
Truck 25 responded on the 2nd alarm assignment to assist Lancaster Township Fire Department with an apartment building fire. The crew assisted with overhaul in several apartments before returning.
