The Aviator's Wife: A Novel

Melanie Benjamin is one of my favorite Historical Fiction writers so I feel compelled to share this deal on one of her e-books, 'The Aviator's Wife'. This novel is written in the POV of Anne Morrow Lindbergh, wife of our very own (well, those of us in Little Falls at least have a tiny claim!) Charles Lindbergh JR. I love this novel and hope you will too! This link is for Kindle but the deal is likely available for your favorite e-reader as well. This deal is good through March 10, as far as I'm aware, but prices are subject to change at any time. Happy reading!

amazon.com In the spirit of Loving Frank and The Paris Wife, acclaimed novelist Melanie Benjamin pulls back the curtain on the marriage of one of Americaā€™s most extraordinary couples: Charles Lindbergh and Anne Morrow Lindbergh. ā€œThe history [is] exhilarating. . . . The Aviatorā€™s...

03/03/2018

This middle grade novel is described by Ernest Cline as ā€˜Gremlins meets Inside Out in this sneaky parable about courage and self-control. Fun, funny, and surprisingly heartfelt.ā€™ And the best part - itā€™s hitting the Little Free Library shelf today. Come check it out!

03/01/2018

Last night my book club met to discuss 'Just Life: A Novel' by Neil Abramson. We all agreed that this was a page-turner due to the author's mastery at creating the perfect amount of tension throughout.

We also shared book recommendations with each other that I'd like to pass along to you. Here they are, in no particular order:
1. 'North of Hope' by Jon Hassler
2. 'The Bear and the Nightingale' by Katherine Arden
3. 'The Bedlam Stacks' by Natasha Pulley
4. 'The Things They Carried' by Tim O'Brien
5. 'The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle' by Haruki Murakami

I'm always happy to get book recommendations. Let me know in the comments if there's a novel that you think needs to be read.

Happy reading!

While I am not currently able to give our library as much attention as it deserves (I am resting and healing after surgery on my foot bones), I do hobble out when Iā€™m feeling up to it. I hadnā€™t read a book this colorfully silly since ā€˜Alicesā€™s Adventures in Wonderlandā€™. Adorable toy soldier bookmarks included. Enjoy!

Hello friends! I had surgery on my foot a few days ago and while I'm not up to hobbling out to the Little Free Library just yet it is still open! It will be a beautiful week here in central MN - take full advantage. I encourage you to walk, bike, roll your pumpkin, or swing like a monkey on by the LFL - bring a book to share and find your next read! I truly appreciate your support of our reading community while I'm unable to be as active as I like with the library. And, as always, if you have more than one or two books to share you are welcome to leave them in a box or bag at my front door. Thank you and happy reading!
