Wellness Exam, check up, yearly physical all refers to a once a year screening, usually done at your PCP’s office. This screening exam is used as a preventative tool to help you and your Doctor stay up to date on your overall well-being and help catch signs of cancer or other issues as early as possible, hence the term PPREVENTative Exam!😉 Typically, you might expect to have lab work done at your appointment and your Doctor will order any screening tests that you qualify for such as mammograms, colonoscopy, or bone density. Wanna know the best part? It’s FREE! Most insurance companies will WAIVE YOUR COPAY for you to have your Wellness Exam and will cover the screening tests that you qualify for!
