Big Whiskeys Little Rock

Against the backdrop of the Great Recession, our Big Whiskey’s restaurant opened in 2008 during an exciting and resurgent time for the River Market. We were fortunate to be well received from the start and despite some ups and downs, have greatly enjoyed 16yrs as a literal cornerstone in the area. Much of the early work on and in the restaurant was done by family and close friends.

We will always be indebted to them and the many wonderful (and often colorful) past and current staff to whom we extend our most heartfelt Thanks. Their loyalty and help cannot be overstated or over-appreciated.

These memories are among the many reasons it is bittersweet to announce Big Whiskey’s will be closing at the end of this month. Sincere Thanks to our loyal customers from inside and outside the neighborhood, and also the semi-regular travelers who visited us during the week. We’ve seen a lot from the River Market’s front porch and we’ve served more than a few meals and drinks during our time. But, now we’re excited about what’s next for us and also for our space and our ever developing Downtown. We believe the adage that Downtowns are the Heartbeat of our cities so we will continue to support this one. You should too.
