“Dolly Gallagher Levi” is one of the most beloved characters in musical theatre- a remarkable woman who has been portrayed by many remarkable women over the past 60+ years.
-Originating the role in 1964, Carol Channing’s iconic voice and effervescent charm will forever be lovingly associated with our favorite matchmaker.
-The legendary Pearl Bailey made theatre history performing “Dolly” alongside Cab Calloway in a smash hit national tour that was so successful it returned to Broadway for an extended run.
-27-year-old phenomenon Barbra Streisand starred in the film adaptation, directed by Gene Kelly.
-The hottest Broadway ticket of 2017 was to catch Bette Midler’s hysterical portrayal of “Dolly” in the box office-busting revival.
Joining this roster of extraordinary talents is Amber Iman, fresh off of her 2024 Tony Award nomination. Don’t miss her performing alongside the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and an outstanding supporting cast of visiting artists and local favorites.
