ASL 1401 class, led by Dr. Flores had an incredible opportunity to practice America Sign Language with friends at Chick-Fil-A. An amazing experience for our students, who were able to learn and practice signing with members of the Deaf and hard of hearing community. A special thanks to our friends at Chick-Fil-A for their support in helping our students enhance their ASL skills.
As we bid farewell to our fun-loving Lashonda, we are filled with both joy and sadness. You will be deeply missed, but we are so excited to see what life has in store for you. Thank you for being such an integral part of our family. Remember, once a Pioneer, always a Pioneer!

Pioneer Summer Travel Series 📍- Employee Edition Pt. 2
1: Autumn Lass (Plainview) and husband Cody hiked over 30 miles in the Rocky Mountain National Park.
2: Coralyn Dillard (Plainview) and husband road tripped across the Central US visiting New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma totaling 3,240 miles.
3: Jenny Dutton (Hawaii) competed in the Pan-American Masters Games in archery and earned silver. (Middle)
4: Stacey Cain (San Antonio) traveled to Austin to watch her sister graduation from UT Austin. While there they kayaked and explored Austin.
5: Jim & Trisha Giacomazzi (Plainview) embarked on a Mediterranean cruise. Traveling to Rome, Naples, Livorno, Barcelona, Cannes, and Florence taking in the sights, culture, phenomenal food (lots of great gelato), and history!
Pioneer Summer Travel Series - Employee Edition
1: Ashley Kendall (San Antonio) traveled to Cancun and was there as Hurricane Beryl passed over the island. The storm was not as bad at her location and she was able to make it out safely. When she returned home her boyfriend surprised her with a proposal.
2: Christie Soder (Plainview) and husband visited the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo where they were surprised with the opportunity to feed the hippos!
3: Kimberlee Mendoza (Plainview) spent time on a ranch in the Ft. Worth area this summer and was able to pet a two day old calf for the first time.
4: Rebekah Crowe (Plainview) and family visited the Historic Greenwood community and museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on the 104th anniversary of the Race Massacre that occurred there in May 1921.
5: Jeffrey Vera (Plainview) and family visited Barcelona, Spain. He and his wife loved their trip so much that they decided to move to Spain when they retire!
