“I chose to start the After Hours podcast because I felt sometimes, we all need a little wake up call in our walk. I know I appreciate it when those who have spoken the truth to me did so in love, and real love includes correction. I have been the Lead Pastor at The Way Church in Livonia for 11 years and I have seen many come and go throughout my tenure, that being said, I hope that each person I come in contact with and get to disciple for some time leave with a sense of encouragement, challenge, and a passion to see others come to know the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. I have been told many times that I don’t look, smell, or speak like a pastor. I don’t know…I guess I must have missed that class, but I do smell like a shepherd, a shepherd smells like his sheep because he is always in proximity to those that are entrusted to him. After Hours is not a job, it is not a hobby, it is an extension of my call to continue to build the strongest, most confident disciples I possibly can. If you like or love our podcast we appreciate it, but all Glory goes to God. He is the reason I am anything at all.”

Continuing in our week of meeting the people behind After Hours, here’s a little bit about our Producer!
Travis Horning | Producer
When I was approached about the podcast idea there wasn’t a second thought to it I said “yes!”
There’s no second guessing that sometimes we don’t always want to hear what’s right because it requires a sacrificial change. That why I love this podcast. Being a born and raised city boy surrounded by people all the time is what drives my heart to reach them with truth, hoping it opens the door for Jesus. I have lived everywhere- when you make wherever you go a home, it’s easy to do. Just ask most people that know me- I can befriend anyone at anytime, I’m told it’s a gift, but loving people is hard work, but that’s what I’m here to do!
I volunteer at The Way Church, serving Pastor Jason, I’m the lead sound technician, and enjoy working with youth as a leader, as well as many other things. I live to serve people with the heart of Christ.
When I’m not at the church, I’m working or enjoying avenues of one of my different hobbies, especially cars and travel. I’m the business owner of Progressive Remodeling, where I seek out homes in need of some upkeep, a flip, or finishing touches.
This week we will be introducing you to the people who make After Hours a possibility. First off is Russell Geraty!
Russell Geraty | Role: Color Man
“I'm usually always a "Behind-the-Scenes" kind of guy, so I'm new to being in front of the camera on the podcast.
I describe myself as a country boy raised in the city. I grew up in Dearborn Michigan but moved to my family's horse ranch in my teenage years. I enjoy the quietness of rural areas and the woods.
I find joy in hunting, fishing, and hiking on my downtime from my job as a design engineer for General Motors.
I volunteer at The Way Church as a technician assistant in the sound booth, running our sound board and live feed equipment for worship and sermons.
Thanks for joining myself and the guys in this wild podcast where we talk about some great topics and how to live in this crazy world with a Godly mindset.”
