The 1947 death certificates are ready! Michigan death certificates for the entire year of 1947 are available for free on Michiganology.org. By law, death certificates can only be made publicly available after 75 years. The Archives of Michigan annually makes an entire year available after they reach the 75 year limit. In the late nineteenth century, two Austrian collectors compiled hundreds of Anishinaabe artifacts to bring back to Europe. Today, a partnership between the Weltmuseum Wien and the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians seeks to accurately portray this material culture.
