The holiday season is upon us, so let’s have a serious look at what happens during this time of the year.

Did you know that the induction rate and c section rate sky rockets right before the holidays?

Yes, we realize that care providers are humans, too, with families. But should you compromise your body, baby and birth to fit someone else’s holiday schedule?

Let’s take a look at the chart to see the most common birth dates..... there are almost no births between December 23 and December 26th. However, there is a sharp increase in births the week leading up to Christmas, and then after December 27th, with the most births happening on December 30th.

A holiday is NOT a reason for your provider to pressure you into an induction or cesarean.

Inductions and cesareans should ONLY be done if absolutely necessary or chosen by mother.

Please be aware that your provider needs a reason to induce you so you will get a lot of non-evidence based care during the holiday season. Like being told “baby too big”, past your “due date”, baby is “still high up”, your cervix “isn’t progressing” etc.

It’s a healthier idea to wait for spontaneous labor when your body and baby are ready.

I know we have all heard stories on a baby sleeping through the night from a friend, co-worker, family, or maybe you have been told YOU slept through the night by X months. Unfortunately, that is NOT common at all. Most baby's wake up frequently because their sleep cycle is shorter.

Months ago I posted on how a scam reviewer left me a 1-star review on Google. Well, the did it again and I'm fighting to get it taken down. I do NOT know this person, I have never spoken to this person about any doula services, and they do not follow me on social media.
I'm not asking for reviews currently as I'm trying to resolve this issue.
What I'm asking for is if you have used my services, to please report this person's profile and their review as scam. I am utterly heartbroken that this keeps happening to me.

I deeply care about the people I work for as a doula. My work makes me a better woman, mom and doula.

As a postpartum doula I provide evening assistance with meal prep/dinner help, non-judgmental listening, sibling integration and helping parents have "me time" or "time together" after baby. I work in 4 hour shifts, from 6pm-12am, also known as the "Witching hours".
I used to be a chef so if you're looking for a postpartum doula who enjoys cooking look no further!
