The Broadcast and Cinema Arts 2023 Student Capstone class just released its full-length movie Relatively Serious, to YouTube https://youtu.be/jJxqOaKD2Q0
The movie is about a scientist who figures out how to travel through time and with the help of a journalist, brings people from different decades together for philosophical discussions on life. Failure to screen those he brings together results in a serious conversation with less than serious people.
The student moviemakers who wrote, produced, directed, recorded, and edited, the movie include: Erin Seibert, Celeise Porter, Felipe Fernandes, Dustin Hunsberger, Salei Jano, and Dante Parsons. Faculty who guided the students on the project were: Chris Nickin, Dan Boyd, Paula Fournier, and Sue Boyd.
Five Madonna alumni, including Director Nancy Boyd, Producer Meghan Griesbeck, Color Assist Davis Clenney, Production Sound Mixer Jacob Eliott, and Production Assistant Brett Wheat worked on the film "Lady Parts" check out this behind-the-scenes look at production! Kudos!

Alumnus Succeeds in Energy Industry
With a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Brian Day, attended Madonna to earn a master's in project management in 2007, and a master's in business leadership in 2022. He found success at TC Energy, one of North America's leading energy infrastructure companies with operations in natural gas, oil and power industries. Day serves as area manager for TC Energy's gas operations in the Great Lakes Region Mackinaw Area. At a variety of companies, Day has held numerous positions in project management, electrical engineering, organizational management, operations management, and technical facilitation. He values the leadership skills he gained through his second master's. Day attributes his continued growth as a manager to the following faculty and their influential courses: Jessica Cummings, Tom Schoenfeldt (ret.), and John Huegli (ret.).
Madonna's organizational culture amplified Day's leadership efficiency, freeing up time for coaching youth basketball and softball, a direct result of the values that Madonna instilled in him and that enhance his daily life. Day has transitioned from designing construction projects to leading project management teams. He said his Madonna degrees prepared him to be a more efficient leader with a balanced work-life approach.
