The boil water alert has been lifted! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

BOIL WATER ALERT IN LIVONIA HAS BEEN LIFTED
The City of Livonia has removed the boil water alert after water sample tests by the Great Lakes Water Authority, the region’s water supplier, came back negative for contamination.

Residents and business owners in the affected areas are asked to run their cold water at the lowest point in their residence or building for about one minute to provide a quick flush of their pipes.

Testing was required after the mechanical malfunction in a pressure-reducing valve that resulted in the low-pressure situation that impacted about two-thirds of the city on Wednesday, June 19.

The safety of our citizens and the integrity of the water supply system is our highest priority and we apologize for any inconveniences this situation may have caused.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We are usually closed right now, but this is the only night of the year that we are open for dinner, and boy do we have a dinner for you! Our famous corned beef, potatoes, cartots, celery, a cabbage wedge, a creamy horseradish sauce to drizzle over the top, and bread and butter. We also have all our usual items, plus beef stew!
