I am extending my "old fashion" customer service. I work from home (shop) let’s make an appointment
Appreciation and grateful post…
I would like to shout out Moone Stone for her absolutely selfless act in helping me to finish a project. She came to my rescue very very early Sunday morning and definitely helped to relieve all the anxiety I was experiencing. I truly do not think that she knows just how much she helped me.
Thank you Moone for being the person that you are.
People, in this ugly world we need more Moone’s. Be kind and lend a
Helping hand when you can.
Love y’all
Some days are just a full box of tissue kind of day!
Sew It Seams …
Ok, my last post tonight, I promise.
It appears that our table saw is now a pile of melted aluminum and unrecognizable!! 😣 so I am throwing it out there, in hopes that someone may have one that’s collecting dust or that they aren’t using anymore, or if you know of anyone that may have one.
We need one to rip and cut the boards to repair the outside walls of my garage/shop.
Please and Thank You for your consideration.
Love y’all so very much❤️

Just a reminder to everyone, please don’t let your homeowners insurance laps it can be catastrophic!!!… a good reminder from my cousin Julie that is in insurance and she is concerned for everyone in California …
PSA: If you live in California, do not let your homeowners insurance lapse.
The market is so hard now that it is basically impossible to get a quote or coverage.
Having had to discuss coverage regarding covering client's houses with multiple agencies and brokerages across the state, I've been receiving the same answer - coverage not available.
Even the Fair Plan is battening down the hatches in their underwriting as has surplus lines (a special market for risks; ask me if you'd like to know more about what surplus lines is).
If there is ANYTHING discernable about the property no one is offering quotes.
In addition, a company that may be writing this week may back out of the market next week because they're so overwhelmed with new business that their not able to handle it all.
Another point - the rates are sky high right now and even once the market has more capacity and the underwriting guidelines are loosened, it's looking like the high rates are here to stay.
These are all reasons to ensure your homeowners policy stays in force!

GOD IS GOOD …. ALWAYS!!!
Good evening, so we are a day shy of the 2 week mark from the fire. I have been a chameleon of emotions these past few days, from angry and snapping at everyone around me to crying all day and not knowing why, I truly need more prayer on that front also.
Good news though, It appears that two of my heavy sewing machines survived the fire. I am so in disbelief of what didn’t burn and right next to those things other things were totally lost🤔. I am making a list of things I will need to replace, but am grateful that I do not have to start from scratch!
Sew It Seams …. I AM BACK IN BUSINESS. I will be returning to my former appointment system, I will be coming to your home or place of business to do fittings until we can rebuild my shop.
Again, I would like to send out a heartfelt Thank You to everyone that have shown such love to me and my family. Thank you for the calls, and messages and the donations of sewing machines and supplies, for the cash gifts, the Venmo gifts and the GoFundMe gifts. The dinner, (thank you Denise and Calvin) I am reminded of a song, ”You find out who your friends are” and it appears I have many!! ❤️❤️❤️I am so humbled.
Love y’all so deeply!!
P.S. If you have called or messaged me and I haven’t gotten back to you, first I apologize, second.. blow up my phone, I am here and ready to work.
See It Seams …
Well, it has been just over a week since the fire, we are making progress pulling out things sorting things in piles, it has been therapeutic and a rollercoaster of emotions.
I would like to thank all of the wonderful humans that reached out to me and donated sewing machines, supplies, offers of places to come work if needed, so many offers to help clean up. The GoFundMe is growing and I sooo appreciate all that have donated to help me get this place back in order.
I will post pictures as we go along with the rebuild and restore.
Again, thank you all for all the love.

Out of the rubble… wet but not burnt. ❤️❤️❤️
Sew It Seams ….
So, many of you know and many have reached out with support and questions, here is my story … it may be long.
This past Thursday afternoon, I was in my shop working and I came out of my shop because my air conditioner was acting funny, to a crazy scary fire which started in my back yard somewhere, We do not know the cause and the Fire Cpt. And Police Office could not determine the cause, so as we clean we may find more determining evidence. The house is unscathed except some siding that melted off. My backyard is burnt along with yard furniture, my orange tree, the outside of a shed (contents are wet but seem ok so far).
My shop began to burn through the windows as I had ran back into the shop to possible rescue what I could, I got the one wedding gown out and as I ran out the door there was an explosion just behind the fence outside the shop door and with the explosion (an old CO2 tank) that took out my fence, pushed in the wall of my shop and sent debris flying, myself and a young man named Kenny (that had seen the smoke and came pounding on the front door, he had ran toward the fire with a water hose and I believe actually helped keep my shop/garage building standing until the FD got here) as we ran, the explosion sent the debris from the fence flying at us and actually some was embedded in the back of my house, my metal dress form that sat outside the door of my shop flew toward us and clipped Steve’s head. ( he is ok, went to ER and they got him all checked out). Now with all of that craziness, the Lodi Fire Department was here in minutes, ended up being 6 engines and the Ladder truck. They saved my house and as much as they could of my shop/garage.
It was a long hot day, and my extreme appreciation to all that were here. Especially our FD.
Thank you to all that have reached out to me, with prayers, offered sewing machines, the use of their sewing studios, an extra bedroom for me to set up shop. Financial help, my cousin for starting a GoFundMe for me. It is all overwhelming.
Moving forward, it will take me a few days to assess what is left. I will keep everyone posted. We are all ok and we will rebuild.
I love y’all and appreciate y’all so very much.

Sew it Seams ...
I have envisioned this little piece for months now. Did some diggin in the button tins, boxes and containers and found some vintage, old and new to create this. I am so happy with how it turned out. There are some very specific memories with some of these buttons and I will enjoy the memories everyday with it hanging in its new home in my shop above one of my machines.

One of my most frustrating things, sew for about two foot and then realize I was not sewing anything!!! Lol
