The highly selective Honors College is a great way to make the large campus feel smaller. Honors College members pursue specialized courses, fulfill service requirements, and complete a cumulative capstone project during their senior year. Colorado State University Pueblo is a public university with nearly 4,000 students in total as part of the Colorado State University System. The university offers about 60 undergraduate and graduate programs in fields such as business, engineering, education, health sciences, and the arts and sciences. CSU Pueblo is known for its commitment to providing a high-quality education at an affordable price and offers numerous scholarship opportunities. George Mason is known for its programs in economics, public policy, and law, and has a campus that is home to numerous research centers and institutes.

San Francisco State University (SFSU) is a public university that is part of the California State University system. With just over 27,000 students in total, SFSU offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in fields such as business, education, health sciences, engineering, and the arts and sciences. The university has a diverse student body and a strong commitment to social justice and community engagement. SFSU is known for its programs in ethnic studies, creative writing, and cinema, and has a campus that is home to numerous cultural centers and galleries.

Virginia Tech is a pretty amazing place. It is a major research institution with about 37,000 students in total on a 2,600-acre campus. Undergraduates have opportunities to choose from among 13 different flavors of Engineering (in addition to "General Engineering"), and there are 11 different options to specialize within the College of Business. The "College of Architecture and Urban Studies" and the "College of Agriculture and Life Sciences" are especially strong as well. There are (2) aspects that I think make Virginia Tech quite special. First, the "Pathways to General Education" program is a very flexible program by which students can complete an interdisciplinary minor, or a hands-on learning experience, or a study abroad program. Secondly, the "Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center" is a multi-location business park that has attracted over 750 corporate organizations, where space is created to allow innovators to have access to resources and partnerships.

The University of Arizona is a very large public university with over 36,000 undergraduates and over 46,000 students in total. With the wide variety of academic offerings and a forward-thinking strategic plan, the university seeks to provide ongoing student success in a changing world. The W.A Franke Honors College promises to challenge and support the most exceptional students. Students also give high marks to a program called "THINK TANK", offering tutoring and academic support in a variety of academic disciplines at locations across campus and online.

Boise State University (BSU) is a public research university with about 26,000 total students and about 200 different majors. BSU participates in the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) tuition discount program, making it a good value for the money for students in nearby states. The location in the state capital provides students with internship and entertainment opportunities. The campus is growing, with new state-of-the-art research labs, living and dining spaces, and a brand new high-tech home for the visual arts. (Did you know their football field is blue - and they call the playing surface "smurf turf"?)

Located in the small, friendly university town of Auburn, AL, Auburn University has about 25,000 undergraduates and about 31,500 students in total. Auburn's programs in engineering, agriculture, and the health fields are among the best. The Auburn campus is beautiful, friendly, and full of traditions. One fun tradition is something called, "Hey Day", on which students wear name tags and say "hey" to everyone they pass. Toomer's Corner is one of the most recognizable landmarks on campus, and the lemonade at Toomer's Drugs is legendary. Student conduct is guided by "The Auburn Creed", and "War Eagle" is their battle cry.

The student population at Sac State is growing (record total enrollment of just over 31,500). Thanks to incentive programs encouraging students to take 30 units per year, the graduation rate is increasing faster than any of the other CSU campuses. Fun Fact - There are over 3,700 trees on campus, and Sac State has consistently been named a "Tree Campus USA" by the Arbor Day Foundation. Particularly strong programs include Business, Communication, Engineering, and Criminal Justice and Safety Studies. The location in the state capital provides many internship opportunities.

California State University Chico (CSU Chico) offers a unique student experience that combines a welcoming and inclusive community with exceptional academic programs. With about 13,800 total students, CSU Chico offers programs such as business, education, engineering, agriculture, and the arts and sciences. WSU offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree programs in fields such as agriculture, business, engineering, education, and the arts and sciences. There are several pre-professional undergraduate majors available, and the Sports Management program is highly reputable. The university is known for its commitment to research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and has strong ties to industry and government. The WSU campus is home to approximately 31,000 students (in total). The university also has campuses in Spokane, Tri-Cities, and Vancouver, Washington.

The University of Alabama is the state’s flagship research university, located in Tuscaloosa on a beautiful campus with an exciting SEC sports atmosphere. Recent history has indicated that generous merit aid is available for applicants with strong academic qualifications. Cal Poly Humboldt students enjoy an extraordinary college experience, taking small classes taught by professors who know them by name. As part of the 23-campus California State University system, it offers a terrific higher education value for in-state students.

Lehigh University is a private research university located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs in fields such as engineering, business, arts and sciences, and education. Lehigh is known for its strong emphasis on interdisciplinary education and research, and its commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship. The university combines the academic resources of a larger research institution with a collegial atmosphere more like a smaller college. It is very much a mid-sized university with over 7,000 undergraduate and graduate students from all 50 states and more than 100 countries.

Allegheny College is a private liberal arts college located in Meadville, Pennsylvania. It is a member of the Colleges That Change Lives group of colleges and offers undergraduate degrees in over 40 areas of study. The college encourages students to pursue a broad range of (perhaps unrelated) interests. Allegheny students are required to complete at least one minor in addition to their major, and a capstone project (known as the “Senior Project”), which is a significant piece of independent study, research, or creative work completed under the supervision of faculty. Known as a public technical university, Clemson is particularly strong in undergraduate research. With about 21,600 undergraduates (about 27,300 students in total), Clemson is a centralized gathering of students, staff, and faculty that love everything about Clemson.
