Coffee and tea have a bad reputation for staining teeth, but if you can't give up your morning caffeine, here are a few things ways to prevent stains:

🦷 Brush your teeth immediately after drinking coffee. If you can’t, at least rinse your mouth with water!

🦷 Floss… EVERY DAY. The primary cause for stains on the edges of teeth is that people don’t floss and plaque builds up between teeth which hold onto coffee stains.

🦷 Use a straw. We know this is easier with iced coffee vs hot, but the less liquid that touches your teeth the less staining will occur.

🦷 Avoid at-home teeth whitening strips. They actually make your teeth more porous and will absorb more coffee, creating stains.

🦷 Get your teeth professionally cleaned every six months and consider a professional whitening treatment.

Rather than celebrating, let's just have today be a reminder of the importance of oral hygiene and regular, routine visits to see your dentist.

We know nobody ever wants to hear these words:

"You need a root canal"

We don't love saying it, either! But, we promise it isn't so bad. 

A root canal is a treatment to repair and save a badly damaged or infected tooth instead of removing it. 

Years ago, it may have been a painful procedure. But today, with our treatment and approach, you will have little if any, during a root canal.

In fact, it is probably more painful living with a decayed tooth!

We perform root canals in our office for your convenience and comfort.

As with all dental treatments and services, we will do everything possible to make you feel as comfortable as possible. 

All you have to do is sit back, relax, and allow us to take care of you!

Heading on a winter trip? We may or may not be jealous! Before you pack your bags, check out a few of our tips for keeping healthy while traveling.

✈️ Keep your oral care supplies easy to access! Have your toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and mouthwash easily accessible by packing them in your carry on luggage.
BTW: A travel size toothpaste (3.4 oz) will last you about 5 days, if you are brushing twice a day (which we know you are 😉).

🪥 Store your toothbrush properly. While you are away from the comfort and cleanliness of your home, you want to keep your toothbrush free from bacteria. Be sure to get a cover with holes and don’t store your toothbrush in a plastic bag or other airtight container.

💧 Check the water quality, especially when traveling internationally. If you can’t drink the water out of the tap, you shouldn’t brush with it either. Use bottled water instead.

🗓 Get a dental check up BEFORE you leave. While traveling, dental issues can quickly become uncomfortable and we know you don’t want to deal with any issues while you are out of town.
