We have began to renovate the turf side of the gym! We are going to be closing off the Unit 16 side to fully operate in Unit 17 (turf side)! With that being said we are going to be closed from March 24th-31st to finalize all of our construction. We are so excited to reveal our new space to everyone April 1st! My experience at Effective Fitness began a couple of years ago. I was 63, feeling sluggish and not happy with how I looked. Aging had suddenly become “real”.
My goal was simple, I just wanted to feel better. I didn’t know what to do or how to do it, I just knew that I had to feel better and needed help doing it.
So, I walked into Effective Fitness. Deanna and Tom evaluated my fitness levels. Together we set some goals, made a plan and got to it! I was guided, motivated, and encouraged by these talented people.
As I made progress my needs changed and so did my goals and personalized workouts.

Today kicks us off. The 12 Days of Liftmas! Check out the page/story each day for our daily exercise challenge. As the days count on you can challenge yourself by adding the exercises up to create a longer routine each day. On our last day (Friday Dec 23rd) between 1-4pm we will be inviting anyone into the gym to give the 12 days of Liftmas their best shot before Santa comes! 🎅 Anyone who attempts or competes in the timed challenge will have their name thrown into a raffle for gift cards and swag! Core Intensive is a 60 minute class programmed to increase your core strength and stability by starting with basic exercises and gradually increasing difficulty with progressions. This class is 1 time a week (Thursday at 5pm) and runs for 8 consecutive weeks during the summer (every Thursday, starting on July 7th)!
If you are looking for an after-work class to prevent injuries, improve lower back discomfort, improve balance, and get a great workout in an hour, this class is for you! You do not have to be a beginner to take this class as going back to the basics is beneficial for all.
This class will focus on all of the deep core muscles, the superficial core muscles, and the glutes (yes, they are technically part of your core)! Ask Deanna for more information about this event if you are interested! There is a limit of (15) people for this intensive, so act fast!
