Welcome back Courtney!!!! Yesterday Courtney took a massive step in her journey back to work as she started working “light duty.” Courtney will work on EMS items, administrative items and learn dispatch while she continues to work her way back from her courageous battle with cancer, which we’re happy to report she is 6 months cancer free! Court still has a ways to go before she’s back on the floor as a Firefighter/Paramedic but we’re all excited to have her back in the building with her fire department family! Keep on kicking butt Courtney and welcome back!
We have exciting news! This year Londonderry Fire is going to be extremely well represented at the Boston Marathon with not one, not two, but three runners! FF/P Will St Jean is running for his son Sam and is raising money for Boston Children’s Hospital. FF Chris Patten is running for his daughter Kylie and Boston Children’s and Lt/P Riley Northrop is running for the Newton Firefighters’s Children Fund. We have teamed up with the Stumble Inn for a trivia night to benefit these three runners fundraising efforts. Please join us Wednesday night and consider donating in support of amazing causes! Thank you!

For those who are not aware, last week Francis and Haley Coffey’s 3 year old son Levi was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Francis is a full time lieutenant with our department. Treatments have begun as of last week and Levi has a very long road ahead of him. There is some positive news though, the great doctors at Boston Children’s have seen 95% of patients respond well with this treatment.
While Levi is battling at Boston Children’s Hospital so are we here in Milford. The fire department will be hosting a raffle fundraiser at Station 101. See the attached flyer for more details.
There is also a Venmo account set up to benefit the Coffey family in this time of need. Levi has about a 2 year recovery process and any amount in addition to the Go Fund Me circling around will greatly help. The Milford Fire Department did not have a part in the Go Fund Me so we can not answer any questions about links and such.
Please consider donating to the Venmo and coming out to the fundraising event at Station 101.
