The Jobs Plus Carmelitos Resident Empowerment through Achievement, Training and Education (C.R.E.A.T
The Jobs Plus CREATE Program and the Carmelitos public housing community is managed by the Los Angeles County Development Authority.
We are currently seeking adult and youth ambassadors for our campaign. Community Health Ambassadors help the community understand the importance of getting vaccinated. The position is part-time, maximum two months, and pays $18 per hour. Please contact Lynette Johnson, Resident Services Coordinator @626-223-9894, for more information.
The YMCA is still accepting applicants, ages 6-14, for the afterschool program. For more information, please see a staff member at the recreation room located at 851 Via Carmelitos.

The .YMCA is offering a YMCA swim instructor AND lifeguard certification class for ages 16 and up. 🏊♀️🌊☀️ The class fee is typically $120-$150, but YMCA will offer financial assistance and scholarships for those who apply to work at .YMCA and want to take a class.
