Side By Side Respite

We had a fun day at Side by Side yesterday. We had a tailgate theme and wore favorite team attire. In the morning, we played cards and visited, enjoyed Piper the St. Berdoodle Therapy Dog, and exercised to “fight song” music. We played some football games, and then we made a #1 finger art project. We had tailgate food for lunch and then had some sports trivia and a cheerleading event. We ended with root beers while we had music and a devotion. It was a great day!

Today was a great day at Side By Side Respite. We played games first thing this am, then we did some exercise/ dance while we visited with Piper the St. Berdoodle Therapy dog. We enjoyed discussing old home remedies and shared stories. We had lunch with the OAKS and then played beach ball volleyball. ( what a competition!) We played match game and then ended with music and a devotion. We made a poster for a friend we’ve been missing. Videos posted separately .

Yesterday at Side by Side Respite was a special and fun day. After we played cards and had snacks, we moved on to dance/exercise. We had a special guest, the Chick fil a cow came to dance with us! Everyone had fun doing the chicken dance and other dances. We enjoyed some chicken nuggets too! Piper the St Berdoodle Therapy Dog even got in on the action. Next up was some mind games, wheel of fortune, and then Name that tune. We had lots of laughs! After lunch we played basketball, and then did music and had a devotion. Everyone had a great day!

What a fun day yesterday at Side by Side Respite! After playing cards and chatting with each other, we loved on Piper the St. Berdoodle Therapy dog. We had fun at exercise and doing the chicken dance . We really enjoyed 4th St Sound giving a performance and special treat was dancing demo by Bob and Carolyn! Great job! We had a great lunch and then played match game while we enjoyed creamsicles to celebrate National Creamsicle Day. Next we had music and a devotion and YES, monkey ears were worn! Olympics Part 2 was the theme at Side by Side yesterday. We started our day with cards and conversations and then moved to exercise and parachute games. The ping pong balls flew! Next we had a sharp shooter competition and a basketball competition! Both were so fun and brought so much laughter and joy! We had a great lunch and then held an awards ceremony where all got gold medals for different events! We enjoyed cookie cake and then music and a devotion! This was one of our best days ever! Piper the St. Berdoodle therapy dog visited with us and got in on the games!

Yesterday Side by Side held its 1st Olympics ( part 1). We had lots of competition with swimming, corn hole, beach volleyball and more. There was so much laughter!! We made our own Olympic torches that light up! We had a great lunch and took lots of pictures with the great decor! We ended our day with a devotion and music. Lots of USA chants and patriotic music!

Yesterday at Side by Side we celebrated Christmas in July! We played games, visited with Piper the St Berdoodle Therapy dog and then during dance we threw snowballs. After exercise, we made up Christmas stories with Michelle using a poster to get creative. We had lunch with the OAKS after that. We enjoyed a guitar group for a sing a long. “Jambalaya” was a favorite! Then we sang Christmas songs with Mandy! Fun day! Videos posted separately.

Yesterday at Side by Side was a fun day! We played cards and visited with Piper the St Berdoodle Therapy Dog. At exercise time, we tried out some new exercise bands and did some stretching. We played Match game, had lunch and then did some creative painting. We finished the day with music. We are blessed!

We had a fun day yesterday at Side by Side. We started out visiting and playing cards and enjoying Piper the St Berdoodle Therapy Dog! We then exercise/ danced and had a special treat playing with a parachute with balls and ping pong balls. We soon got the hang of it! Videos posted separately! We had a great lunch and then some pool noodle volleyball. We enjoyed our music and devotion to end the day!

We celebrated 4th of July big at Side by Side yesterday. We decked out in red, white and blue! We danced, played Match game, and did a fireworks art project with paint and BROCCOLI! Then we had a picnic style lunch with burgers, dogs and sides! After lunch we played 4th of July bingo and finished up with music and a devotion!! Happy 4th everyone!!

Yesterday was full of fun day at Side by Side! After we played cards and visited with Piper the St. Berdoodle Therapy Dog, we exercised and had a lively game of charades. ( some of us enjoyed Pom poms a lot)!!! We had lunch with the OAKS and then had a great presentation about VBS from some leaders and students! There were games, music, a craft, a Bible story and a great insight into what the week looked like! We finished with music and a devotion in the sanctuary! We enjoyed all the decorations!
