I had do some really cute cakes this weekend (both clients gave me total creative control) and it reminded me just how much I love cake decorating.

I’m entering a phase of my life where I just want to wear linen clothes, drink white wine and live in a ranch style house a la Meryl Streep in “It’s Complicated.” This cake transports me to that life.

The sweetest little gem of a baby turned 1 yesterday, and I was thrilled to be a part of it! Happy birthday Ruby!!!

Hello everyone! It’s me, Katie! I wanted to take a moment to fill everyone in on a little change with the Mollie Rose. As some of you know, I’ve been working part time at for almost 3 years now (crazy!) Recently, I was given the opportunity to take over the bakery department for Rose Park, which was exciting and bittersweet. Exciting because I can experiment with new pastries, build a team and hopefully expand the program. Bittersweet because unfortunately that means that the Mollie Rose won’t be operating at the full capacity that it has been. Truth be told, this girl is tired and running your own business is stressful!!! I will be limiting the amount of custom orders that I’ll be taking to a very small amount. Please don’t hesitate to reach out because the worst thing that happens is that I say no, BUT I have a handful of amazing decorators that I will refer you to! If you don’t already follow Rose Park Roasters, please do! I’ve got some fun things in store for the future!

Mondays are usually my days to test out new techniques or a new design I’ve been thinking about. I’m absolutely loving how vibrant this green turned out. In a world full of white wedding cakes, be a green one.

I’m happy to announce that we raised $1450 for the Gaza Kinder Relief yesterday. A HUGE thank you to everyone that came and donated. If this money can help evacuate one child out of Gaza, then it was all worth it. A huge shout out to .rhymes.with.arrow .rose.abrahamian and for helping me man the booth. You were all a gigantic help. The world is pretty dang sh*tty right now, but if we all try to do our part, maybe it’ll get better?
