White supremacist groups have terrorized African-Americans in the United States since as early as 1873. While its hard to deem one incident worst than another... Today we draw parallels to the Colfax Massacre of 1873 and Buffalo Massacre that occurred on May 14, 2022 .... 149yrs later.

In the Colfax Massacre of 1873, heavily armed insurgent army called the “White League", Similar to the Ku Klux Klan; killed 60 to 150 African-Americans. The White League was a paramilitary group that intimidated and attacked blacks. In the Buffalo Massacre a self-proclaimed White Supremacist outfitted in paramilitary gear took the lives of 10 African-Americans .

One Hundred and Forty Nine

149 years later African Americans are still being targeted, attacked and murdered by White Supremacist . The photos above depict family & community members retrieving loved ones from the and the second depicts a victim of the being transported to a hospital for aid.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, loved ones and community members impacted by this horrendous act of domestic terrorism at hands of another White Supremacist in the United States

Today, on Mother's Day, we pay homage to Black motherhood. From the mother who was stripped of her offspring on the auctioning block when slave ships arrived to America, to the mother that used her milk to serve as a wet nurse for White children, to the Mother's in the movement... from Civil Rights to Black Lives Matter!! We see you, we honor you, we value you.

Today, June 17, 2021 At a White House bill-signing ceremony, President Joe Biden made Juneteenth a Federal Holiday. President Biden agreed that more than a commemoration of the events of June 19, 1865, is needed. That’s when Union soldiers brought the news of freedom to enslaved Black people in Galveston, Texas — some 2 1/2 years after President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation had freed slaves in Southern states.
