The Black Karate Federation, is not one person! It never was, it never will be. The original concept was to bringing together in unity, all Black Martial Arts Schools. This was the desire of the Co-founders, Professor Jerry Smith, Guru Cliff Stewart, Dr. Ron Chappelle and BKF's first president Steve Sanders, now known as Steve Muhammad.

To bring an equitable representation for unbiased judging in tournament competition, was also part of a pioneering agenda. Yes, learning to fight and to defend oneself was the dessert, but having the full course meal first, payed huge dividends for our complete growth.

Attending a BKF school enable the student to participate practice and learn multiple styles and systems: Kenpo, Hapkido, Shodokan, Taekwondo, Tang So Do, Judo, Aikido, Boxing... etc.

I am very pleased to announce my inclusion in the The AMAA Cynthia Rothrock Legacy Weekend will kick off on July 28th, 2023, with the release of the Cynthia Rothrock edition of the Who’s Who in the Martial Arts Biography Book, Book Signing, and Legends Ring Recognition Ceremony. On July 29th, the celebration continues with the Legends Awards Banquet, seminars, and martial arts demonstrations by some of today’s champions in a special salute to our inductees, along with other panels of martial artists honoring Grandmaster Cynthia Rothrock Legacy Weekend.
