An easy way to reduce waste is to bring your own cup when getting beverages to go! ☕ ♻️ LB Reuses, in collaboration with businesses in Long Beach, aims to make throw-away go away. Our mission is to reduce single-use plastic and overall waste through engagement, advocacy, and collaboration to activate reuse initiatives. Applications for the City's Compost and Recycling Ambassador Program are now open! 📣♻️ If you are a Long Beach resident 18 years or older, apply to join our Compost and Recycling Ambassador Program offered at no cost, starting Thursday, 3/21 through 5/2 from 9 am-12 pm. Glossy, glittery wrapping paper may look nice, but it is NAUGHTY when it comes to recycling. Did you know most wrapping papers are NOT recyclable? 🎁❌ We love to make our own wrapping paper with newspaper, comics, old maps, kraft paper and even holiday paper grocery bags. If you do need to purchase wrapping paper, look for 100% paper and made of recycled content. An even better choice is reusing gift bags and gift boxes to reduce waste!
