Announcing our Workshop Line-Up! First up: by of Move and Radiate Inc! Sign up at the link in bio. About Mar:
Move And Radiate, Inc. is an inclusive belly dancing company with a mission to provide a space that welcomes & celebrates all body types, ethnicities & level of experience without shame or judgment. I do so by teaching a belly dance fitness class (online & in person) that is beginner friendly. My class will provide you with a fun way to get your body moving without feeling like it is a workout or a chore. My classes empower women to show up for themselves, push their limits and prioritize their mental and physical health. Many students have testimonies about their personal development, getting stronger, regaining their self-esteem and improving their mobility.
I also direct a belly dancing troupe that performs locally/nationally - giving women of color the chance to participate in this art form with open arms and lots of love and support. I intentionally seek out women of minority groups to represent the diversity & uniqueness of who we are as a people. But I must say, it is deeper than belly dancing. My work redefines what it means to be a woman of color - taking back cultural power and lifting the burden of oppression placed on my communities. I am showing women that it is okay to embrace their culture, their bodies and their skin color. My class teaches my students the importance of movement and empowers them to go against what has been built to keep us quiet and controlled. It is the fitness/dance class and environment you did not know you needed until now!
We are so thrilled have Mar & her crew join us at ! 🙌
