Remodeling this shuttle bus had been fun.
We did a lot of work to fix previous builders mistakes.
We built this brand new shower that drains in to the marine water transfer tank.
Also we are making new kitchen cabinets and installing new butcher block with proper fridge and cooktop.

This is a prototype we are testing. It is a power grid trailer commonly used for supplying power for emergency situations, such as earthquakes and wild fires, or for commercial applications, such as a power supply for contractors.

This Trailer has an onboard 11 000 Watts electric generator that can automatically start, and is capable of running high wattage heat guns pulling over 3000 Watts.

This Trailer is equipped with:

This beautiful Class A diesel pusher is an all electric RV coach.

What does it mean? That every appliance in the coach (cooling, heating, refrigeration, cooking, etc) runs off electricity, not propane. Generally, back in the days, these kinds of buses were meant to camp strictly in RV parks where there were electric hook ups, or these buses would have to run a big diesel generator. Normally the coach could run off the house batteries for a day or two max when dry camping, not running air conditioners. Typically the owner would unplug the rig at their house and start driving right away to the camp site to get plugged in. However, these days, many people like to boondock, or to not be plugged in at the camp site, on the concrete slab.

People want more freedom to roam around.

This is why our team at The RV Repair Guy customizes the perfect solar and battery bank system for each customer. We try not to do cookie cutter solar kits. We discuss and interview each customer to design and install the most suitable system for them.

This system has:

8x 100 Ah lithium Battle Born batteries = more then 10 Kwh. That is plenty of power to run most appliances for quite a bit of time.

Maintenance-free battery bank that lasts 10 to 15 years, with a manufacturer warranty for 10 years.

All those batteries are wired into a special bus bar that is meant to combine batteries and can hold or carry up to 1000 Amps connecting to the house appliances.

We bypassed the OEM charge solenoid for better suitable DC to DC chargers/controllers. The DC to DC is a much smarter way of charging batteries. These devices have 3 way charging to ensure the batteries are properly and safely charged. The normal solenoid charger is not as good as the DC to DC charger because the normal solenoid is just an on and off charger. Due to lithium chemistry, the alternator won’t recognize any resistance from the battery, and therefore thinks the battery is low. This results in the normal solenoid charger constantly charging the batteries full force, which can cause alternator damage.

On the roof we installed 10x200W panels=2KW.

Solar panels will charge all those batteries via 2 solar charge controllers.

This system generates enough PV energy for the customer to be almost always off the grid unless turning on multiple air conditioners. In the case of multiple air conditioners running at the same time, the camper will have to switch to the generator for supplying power.
