In 2022, I was proud to secure $8.5 million in state funds to support the MacArthur Park Rehabilitation Project. Today, about two years later, I join Long Beach City, Mayor Rex Richardson, Councilwoman Dr. Suely Saro, Long Beach Parks, Recreation & Marine, AOC7, Friends of MacArthur Park, and many more for the groundbreaking event. Construction of the park already started with the goal of building a full basketball court, work out section, a track that will wrap around the park for jogging or walking, and lots of green space for individuals and families to enjoy. I truly believe that parks build communities and promotes healthy habits for everyone and look forward to the completion of this soon to be beautiful park for all in central Long Beach. #senate33 #sd33 #LongBeach #parks #california
