Margaret Sonnen, the regional manager for our Pacific Northwest division (Tri Pak), moderated the final meeting of the Zero Emission Truck Collaborative on October 13, 2023. The transition to zero-emission drayage vehicles serving ports in the Pacific Northwest is a key step to meeting zero-emission trucking targets adopted in the Northwest Ports Clean Air Strategy while also contributing to city and state decarbonization goals. The multi-stakeholder Puget Sound Zero-Emission Truck Collaborative is developing a roadmap for transitioning to zero-emission drayage services at the Puget Sound region marine cargo terminals no later than 2050. By adding over 100 CNG Near-Zero Emission trucks to our fleet, we have made a significant contribution equal to removing 18,000 cars from the road. Our decision to use CNG instead of diesel benefits the environment and aligns with our commitment to sustainability since 2009. We are determined to expand our fleet of zero and near-zero emissions vehicles across the country and demonstrate good for the environment is good for business.
