I'm constantly blown away by the beauty of all of Sseko's collections - not to mention the impact we have on our sisters around the world!

Here are some sneak peeks at the fall launch (live on 8/3!) - I spy a new color mixed in with the leopard and my favorite agave green ... it's called brambleberry and it is GORGEOUS! I'm going to create an event and share it in the comments. Everyone who shops the launch will be entered in to win some great pieces!

The South Coast Botanic Garden did not disappoint! 🌳😍

Thanks for the heads up about the dog walking days, Atiliay! We only took , but Mina had a blast!

Things we will do next time:
— sign up for an earlier time slot (it was beyond hot when we got there at 11:30)
— pack a lunch to bring inside (didn’t know you could do this, but now I do!)
— bring more water, LOTS of water
— our dogs are a little spoiled so they don’t like to drink out of water bowls that a million other dogs have also used … SO while the South Coast Botanical Garden is AMAZING for setting out dog water stations, Payton refused to drink at any of them and waited until we got to the car. If this sounds like your pup, bring a small container for them to have water too.
— pack a small picnic blanket to sit on the grass

All in all, for a last minute day trip, it was a success! Next time, I’ll prepare a little better.

I AM BEYOND PROUD to announce that as of last night Sseko has announced that we are part of the to transparently share the wages of our lowest paid employees.

‼️As of January 2021, the lowest wage paid to a member of our production team in Uganda is the equivalent of approximately USD $227 per month.

According to WageIndicator, a leading 3rd party resource on wage information, a living wage in Uganda ranges at the low end from $139 to the high end of $154 a month. According to this assessment, Sseko Uganda LTD pays their lowest-paid employee approximately 55% above the living wage. 🥰🙌
