The Older Adult Services Program at The LGBTQ Center Long Beach has decided to place the Encore Men’s Group on hold until further notice. Consequently, the two groups scheduled for this month are canceled.

During this break, our goal is to find a new volunteer facilitator. Our collective aim is to create a safe, welcoming, inclusive, diverse, and supportive community that all can return to. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Struggling to broach the topic of gender identity, orientation, and sexual health with your primary care provider? 🫂

Then please join us at our LGBTQIA+ Dr. Q&A Workshop event 📋❓ at the LGBTQ Center Long Beach Friday, July 12th from 6PM to 7:30PM. 📅

Presented by the Youth Services’ M.Y.T.E. teen group 👩‍👩‍👧‍👦, Doctors from MemorialCare’s LGBTQ Clinic will teach teens what questions to ask their doctor 🧑‍⚕️regarding LGBTQIA+ topics. There will also be a Q&A❓ section where attendees are invited to ask the panel questions they may not feel comfortable asking their family members or doctor.

🥪🥛Food and refreshments will be provided. Free Parking 🚗 is available with front desk validation in the Center’s back lot.

The MYTE teen drop in space will be taking place form 3:30PM to 6PM if you’d like to join us early!

Please submit questions ahead of time via the QR code if possible. Otherwise, questions will be taken in the order they’re submitted the day of.

Teens are also welcome to join via Microsoft teams using the QR Code/URL Link provided in the the image!
