I have a new (and only) book that is appropriate for any musician of any type. Also, special attention has been paid to teachers and students, which of course we all are. This is more of a philosophy of music that is very understandable than a music note/how-to-play book.
There is also a section that deals with our modern dilemma with computers, wars, politics, marriage, etc. And a section at the end of some of my favorite quotes. I have found journaling a huge learning opportunity and keep a journal close to me all the time. We never know who is going to spit out a gem of a thought.
