CLASC had an end of the year banquet and awards ceremony at the Earl Burns Japanese Garden. It was a wonderful evening featuring delicious food, a guest speaker and the introduction of the new Executive Board.

Long Beach City Council unanimously voted to celebrate on October 9. This is an exciting step and we’re very proud to be part of a community that cares about the different cultures that exist within it ✊🏽

BE ADVISED:

The Mission Asset Fund, with support from the Weingart Foundation is providing funding grants to DACA students who need financial assistance with renewal application fees. The deadline to apply for renewals is October 5th. There are currently 2,000 scholarships available to CSU, UC and CCC students. The Mission Asset Fund has asked for assistance in publicizing the availability to students. More information can be found here: http://lc4daca.org/
