Came home from a trip to discover that somehow, Siousxie Sewe broke one of her front teeth so she now has a lil snaggletoooth.

My cantankerous, beautiful, opinionated, entitled, hilarious, yell-y, affectionate boy is gone. He was a giant pain in my ass, endlessly entertaining, and very sweet. Loved getting brushed, saltine and animal crackers, shoulder scritches, fresh pumpkin... I miss him already. I hope he's hanging out with his brothers, Arlo and Quincy, in the Great Pasture in the Sky. Bye, Amos. 💔

My poor old man. 😢 He's still refusing to eat, which is really not good. Vet came to see him and she wasn't super optimistic. He's bundled up here, in three coats and under a heat lamp but still shivering. This is the absolute worst part of having critters in your care.

Please send some good thoughts/prayers/mojo/juju to my old man Amos. He is rather suddenly doing poorly and with his age factored into it, I am extremely worried.

Day 2 of NorseWest Viking Fest! We've got lots of handmade soap, goat milk lotion, local yarn and fiber, handmade earrings, pottery buttons... Located at Cochrane Memorial Park in Yelm, here till 4pm today.

NorseWest Viking Fest starts NOW! We are all set up and ready and there are a TON of other vendors here, too! Lots of demonstrations and a Viking Village! Food trucks galore, so put on your best garb, bring your appetites, and come down to Cochrane Memorial Park- the event is free!

There are a few fruits on the tree that still need to ripen a wee bit more and I can't wait! Peaches are my favorite. 😀

Farm happenings!: I returned home from Black Sheep Gathering to find Pa Farmer had destroyed the front yard- again! 😆 He installed a sprinkler system I don't have to haul hoses around (it may not seem like a big deal, but hauling 100 feet of hose from spigot to spigot is exhausting).
Our chicken run is getting a bit of an upgrade in the form of a solid roof to give our girls a bit of shade and some protection from rain.
Geep Keep is getting all new footing to help improve drainage, as it turns into a mucky swamp in winter- not good for geep feets! We've got almost half down to bare gravel, and in the coming weeks we'll spread a thicker layer of gravel, some old carpet, and fresh wood chips or hog fuel on top. Only time will tell if this will be enough to keep their winter quarters mud-free. 🤞

Today's haul from the vendor hall: (L to R) natural silver-grey Rambouillet (gorgeous!), baby camel (so soft!), d-haired black llama (also so soft!), baby camel & tussah silk (shiny and soft!), yak down (basically a cloud, it's so soft and floofy), and lotus silk from Myanmar!

Today's class was Viking knitting with wire! I'm so pleased with how this bracelet came out and I can't wait to do more! Also, isn't this little charm so cute??

Poor old guy has been struggling a bit lately and I don't know if he will be with me much longer, so I've been showering him with all the love and scritches and treats I possibly can.

Honestly, this temporary electric net fencing is the bane of my existence and I would light it on fire if it weren't such a vital tool here on our farm. No matter what I do or how careful I am, the stuff tangles and snags and just turns into a cluster. That said, it is immensely satisfying to create grazing and browsing spaces for the geep so they can have shade and help us keep the invasive weeds at bay.
