Team Weaver
The members of the Longview Police Department are holding a meal fundraiser for one of its own on Thursday November 16, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at the Maude Cobb Convention Center. Damon Weaver works for the department as an Information and Technology Systems Specialist and is fighting stage 4 cancer. He has served the department for 7 years. He served the county in the United States Marine Corp in the early 90’s. Damon now goes through the struggle of surviving with his wife Angela of 24 years and 3 sons Brian (22), Wade (19), and Adam (14) at his side. The men and women of the Longview Police Department are proud to stand beside Damon and his family and show our support during this battle for his life.
We will be hosting a hot dog meal for a $10 donation to raise money for medical and necessity expenses as the “Team Weaver” battles this life challenge. Damon is planning on being at the luncheon and we encourage anyone interested in contributing and wishing him well to come to the Maude Cobb Convention Center on November 16, 2017.
UPDATE: Damon will be in Dallas for some post operative procedures and will not be able to attend.
Reminder, there is a Police Explorer Meeting at 6:30 this evening at the Police Substation at Fairmont and Northwest Dr. We look forwarded to seeing everyone!
