Julian Montague is an artist, graphic designer and illustrator based in Buffalo, NY. His artwork includes a wide range of mediums and approaches, from long term conceptual projects to geometric abstraction. He often operates in the spaces where art and graphic design intersect—exploring the interactions between words and images.

This series entitled "Parallel Universe" is a play of the artist's study around the circle and the resulting curves, and the negative space that is created. Simek brings forth the concept of mass deformation through simple lines. The original paintings were made using acrylic on linen canvas.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Kenote often references early memories of play in nature and the imaginative worlds she created before being introduced to the idea of fine art. The bright shapes and upbeat borders belie darker forms that resemble dense forests.
