We are so lucky, privileged, and thankful to call the ancestral lands of the native Tongva Kiiz our school. We honor them by honoring their plants and animal relatives as we occupy these beautiful natural places each week.

We are EXTREMELY happy to share the exciting news that Everlasting Elementary School of the Los Angeles River Watershed is now fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools - WASC (TK - 3rd)! Accreditation was granted after our school completed a detailed school report, hosted an initial visit by fellow educators, and had our application carefully reviewed by a WASC Commissioner. The first and only school of its kind, Everlasting Elementary operates entirely outdoors and offers place-based, ecology-focused curriculum with a social-emotional foundation, all while ensuring students are meeting California State Standards in academics.
The WASC committee was particularly impressed with our school’s “attention to each child’s unique interests and qualities, allowing the staff to create learning time that engages the students and allows them to be comfortable and excited about their learning.” We could not be more thankful for the staff, families, and students who came together to help achieve this ambitious goal for our unique and amazing program!!! ☀️🌈📚👨🏽🏫
