It is with great sadness to inform you that our beloved coach Mori passed away peacefully yesterday surrounded by his family. He was an amazing coach that touch many students both old and young. After graduating from Waseda University Coach immigrated to the USA to attend graduate school. He took a job teaching gymnastic as assistant coach to Jack Medina at San Fernando valley State College. He later opened up his own Gymnastic Studio now known as Mats Gymnastics and Physical Fitness Center. Coach qualified and competed in the Olympic trials. In 1971 Coach Mori won the Ben Price all Around Champion held at UCLA. He had since taught thousands of students and worked until 2022. We hope that you will join us in horonoring such a unique, special talented man, A Celebration of Life is being planned. we will post the details as they become available.
Mats Gymnastics is in full swing. If you are looking for a new challenging physical activity and want to make some really cool friends, we recommend taking one of our adult classes.

Hi All~ Unfortunately, Mats Gymnastics had to close again as per our government officials mandate due to Covid-19. We will re-open when they let us know it is safe to do so. In the meantime, Please stay safe and healthy. See you soon.
Mats is slowly re-opening our doors. We are currently booking private and semi private lessons. We also have a couple classes for kids - Girls 10am Saturdays, and Boys 10am Sunday. Limited adult classes and currently No Open Practice. Please email us or call should you be interested in any of these classes. We are limiting the number of participants.
